Hotel put us in old building and old unit. Furniture was beat up etc. we paid for upgrade of 20 euros per day for 3 days as did our friends. Front desk staff were excellent especially Miguel in making things right. Beds and pillows are terrible in this hotel compared to My Story Hotels and Evora Olive Hotel.
It was a convenient location to Albufeira Old Town, but overall the hotel was just ok. A little dated, missing a few basics. We had an apartment with a sleeper sofa which actually turned out to be a trundle bed and only sheets and pillows were provided for it, no comforters. No dish soap or dish sponge in the kitchen (we had to buy them at the reception !). Ok for a couple of nights that we needed but not great.
We had a great property, with a great view...though we did not know for sure we would get that prior to coming. We would not have wanted any lower level properties. Area is a little loud but that's to be expected.
Loved the apartment and the balcony. Helpful staff and the restaurant was amazing - with excellent waiting staff.
This property was fantastic, clean , friendly staff , gym and pool were great . Transportation to “ old town” was helpful. Would recommend hourly times .
More information would be so helpful in terms of local transportation.
Loved it all.
Particularly loved Joao and all the staff.
Also a very central location!
We visit Algarve often and time after time we choose to stay at Cerro Mar.

A sfew things are missing in the kitchen, like scissors and a teatowel which would be appreciated.

Lovely hotel, good facilities, didn’t use spa or pool, not in January!
Great location, as long as you don’t use a wheelchair, buggy or have difficulties with steps, as located on hill, with steps to main d Town Sq.
Studio apartment was spacious but layout could have been better and the mattress on the bed was very uncomfortable and small - didn’t get a decent night’s sleep.
Breakfast was good though although another coffee machine would have helped. Location was good but up a steep hill
Lovely apartment, cleaned daily and well maintained.
Only niggle was the sunbeds, some broken and all looking abit tired and need updating. Also very uncomfortable as not padded.

If you are planning to be in town for few days or more, it's a good place to stay at. It's like a resort/apartment. Rooms are outdated but clean. Good location. Wifi is not free in your room. Have to pay to use the safe in the room.
Terrible stay. We were put in the apartments as opposed to the hotel we had booked. A very small pool. Not enough Sun loungers. Therefore unable to use the pool. The small grass area was full so therefore could not even put our towels down. I left a pair of shorts behind at the pool which were drying on the day I left. Contacted the hotel three times through their website to let them know so they could be retrieved. No response on each occasion. Called and was never called back. Really disappointed and an utter waste of money. Please don’t make the same mistake I did.
No wifi in the rooms is pretty disappointing for an expensive resort hotel. People should be aware of this aspect, it’s only in the lobby and the strength of the connection there varies
My ground floor apartment was superb and very comfortable. Although it faced the pool, it was perfect as the compkex wasxquite quiet when i arrived.
Sadly, the day i left, there appeared to be several stag and hen parties arriving. It does state in the Cerro Mar literature, that single sex group bookings are not accepted????
However, my stay was very pleasant.
Only downside is the hill climb back to the properties. Not recommended if you are not fit.
Nice affordable property within walking distance to Old Town. Very clean but Oddly there were few Garbage cans around the grounds. Pool was not heated so very refreshing to say the least. Suites were spacious but no extras were included - example laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, Coffee, etc. Be prepared to purchase incidentals for your stay. FYI - Salt and Pepper is not freely offered in Portugal . Next time I'm bring from home.
Stayed at Cerro Mar Atlantico, good size pool and sun beds but no pool side bar or food available when there. Would recommend staying in Cerro Mar Gardens instead. There is almost 100 steps to climb from the main resort area and a steep hill once you’re at top of steps so worth remembering if you have children or walking difficulties.
Stayed on top floor in apartment 601 - Wow what a room for me and my son. Amazing views of pool and sea view and an incredible balcony.
Stay was perfect and for the price paid I was so impressed
