This hotel is more like a hostel, but very friendly to western travelers. The people working there are happy to help you arrange excursions and you will inevitably meet other backpackers/solo travelers staying there, with whom you can split the cost of excursions to make things cheaper for everyone :)
On the premise they also have a basic but decent cafe, which is clean and comfortable, and they make you feel very welcome to relax there, use the wifi, read, etc. I found the breakfasts (included in the cost of the room) to be a very nice touch as well.
The staff was helpful in addressing and fixing some minor problems I had in my room, so definitely say something if you have an issue. Check if your room includes a bathroom or if you have to use the shared bathroom. I think it's worth the extra money here to have a private bathroom.
As far as the location, it's great that it's centrally located, but as a single western woman I did not feel very comfortable walking around that area in evening/night, so I suggest you plan accordingly and definitely cover/keep a low profile as a tourist, and especially as a woman.
