An Outstanding Service
Our family spent one night only in this Hotel but Novotel Antwerp fully met our expectations. Although the place itself was a little bit outdated, the bed was comfy and the room clean. The highlight of our stay came the following morning when we received the Service from Driss, F&B attendant. His people skills, warm welcoming attitude and overall attention to details were exceptional. Driss, one more time I take this opportunity to express gratitude of our family for making our day with Novotel unforgettable. You are the real asset to that place.

Helpful & attentive staff
We really enjoyed our overnight stay. The reception staff were lovely. Same for the restaurant and bar staff, all very helpful and attentive. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was great.. Plenty parking too.

Second time staying here. Overall i think iit is a good hotel. Breakfast is very overpriced for the limited choices.

Perfect for us on a overnight stay.
We only stayed over night as a stop off. Having read other reviews i wasn’t sure what we would find. However we couldn't find fault. The room was clean and i liked the fact it had a separate internal door which made it really quiet. Bed was comfy the sofa bed not so comfy but ok. The kid's loved the pool. Which had towels available to use. Breakfast was busy but great. Staff were friendly. Would definitely use again if in that area.

WORST HOTEL IN THE HISTORY OF NOVOTEL (POOR HOTEL MANAGER AND RECEPTIONIST. I had three asthma crisis while I was in the hotel due to the smell of the hotel. Unfriendly receptionist and lack of professionalism. Silly hotel manager who is meant to be working as a store replenishing staff rather than a manager. Hospitality of the hotel is extremely is beyond poor. I will never recommend to my worst enemy.

Disappointing arriving to dirty unprepared room!!
After travelling from the UK to our first stop we were really disappointed by this hotel. We arrived at 5pm to walk into a dirty, uncleaned and unprepared room. With two small children in tow this was very inconvenient. We then had to wait for it to be made up which was over an hour. To top it off the restaurant is closed on a Sunday night so we couldn’t even eat whilst we wait. They were clearly short staffed and the guy did try his hardest to be helpful. The hotel location meant that there was not a lot around to offer. Breakfast was good though.

I liked the friendliness of the staff and easy checkin/checkout facility. I did not like the fact that the telephone in the room was totally broken with no buttons on it and was not usable. The temperature control system was non-functional, had to open a window during winter as it was uncomfortably hot in the room for sleeping at night.

Inadequate air conditioning
I am really disappointed as the mattress in the room was very comfortable. I was looking forward to two really good nights sleep. Unfortunately the air conditioning had almost zero affect on the room temperature with some slightly cool air coming from one small wall vent The weather in Antwerp at the time was 34 c. I resorted to opening the window at 3am which allowed me some sleep however was very noisy outside from about 4am. I found the staff really friendly and found the room otherwise on a par with other Novotels I have stayed at.

Okay place for a night stop over
The stay was overall okay, its a good place for a stop over while traveling far distance. Kids enjoyed playing football outside and the swimming in the pool. Breakfast was limited but okay. Some rooms need a lot of updating and refurbishing.

Great customer service but room was a let down
The front desk staff were very helpful and friendly. The reception area look nice but the room definitely did not match up to the initial impression and it being a spa hotel. The first room we were allocated to was horrible with extremely dirty carpet with big patches of stain, cracks on the walls with outdated deco. The room was rundown and dirty. The worst room I have came across among all the hotels I have stayed before. When the front desk staff came to help us to prepare the sofa bed for my child, he was shocked by the condition of the room and he offered to move us to another floor with a renovated room. The second room was so much better and cleaner. I think they did a half renovation on it. They changed the carpet and updated the bathroom and a few bits. The bed was still uncomfortable and I think the ventilation was bad as we could smell cigratte smoke although our window was closed the whole time. As it was just for a night stopover for us, we just put up with the smell. I do not think we will stay with them again unless they do a major improvement to their rooms and ventilation.

Un-acceptable Maintenance
Due to location of the Hotel, we use it quite often. This time was a 4 nights stay (2 rooms booked). The 1st night I noticed that the shower drain was clogged and at every shower, the bathroom floor is full of water. The next morning I asked it to be fixed (and I can see the receptionist write this down in their log) ... when I get back in the evening unfortunately the issue is still there. On my way out, I mention this to the receptionist once again. The next evening, after I return to the Hotel, I can see that nothing was done ... so I report this once again. and the same the next morning, the next evening ... and so on. Nothing was done to the shower drain during the time I was there, even if was reported at least 6 times - and logged by receptionist. Only my last night, after another complaint, I was offered a room switch - which I declined being that it was the last night of stay.

Well over-due renew and maintenance.
The hotel is in need for a long-due renovation and maintenance. showers with missing water knobs, silicone seals must be repalced, sinks that are clogged, old windows leaving cold air through and a very outdated and showing the age furnitures and finishing. note that I was staying in 2 different rooms during my stay ... so I was able to notice the same issues on different rooms.

Lovely ladies at reception was very helpful and so professional. Thank you for recommendation of the places to see, this was really useful. Room generally was clean but... all nasty stains on the carpet and condition of it, was really making us to feel, that room wasn't clean but there was no other dirty or dust. Overall stay was nice but some people's was really noise untill 2am! it was impossible to go sleep... AC wasn't doing good job so we have to open windows which resulted with noise from the road AND making us to lessen this people's who doesn't respect other with them behaviour.

Meets needs but not up to Novotel standards
I stay at Novotel properties during most of my travels. There us a minimum standard for Novotel that this property does not meet. While the property is clean and the staff is superb, carpets all need to be replaced. Breakfast should be included with all reservations because it is not worth the €19 per adult fee. Without updates, this hotel should rebrand to their IBIS budget hotel

Good hotel overall
Overall good Hotel. Location is good with ample free parking. The place in need of some upgrade. Room size is bigger than normal which is good but little dated for Novotel standards. Good rating but not excellent.

Lumpy hard pillows, dirty carpets. There is nothing around this hotel except industry, and driving to the city is not a great drive. Reception staff offer good service re info, directions etc, early check in.

Room is old but large. The bathroom is renovated. Far from everything unless you have a car. Antwerp is an expensive place to stay. The Novotel is a great value.
