"This was a two night stopover to allow us to ride around the Cantel region and, in particular, the rim of the volcano (long since gone). The appearance of th hotel upon arrival gives little credit for how comfortable the rooms are and how pleasing the restaurant is. It is little surprise that the hotel is used by tradesmen and appears to be full all the time. Very pleased with our stay and would recommend."

We were also charged for using the pool and gym which frankly we declined as it was incredibly disappointing for the 10€ per person, when asked to refund the amount she took our card details and personal details on a scrap of paper and said she would refund later that day, we found this...

"The staff were wonderful - friendly and helpful while we struggled through with our limited French and their English. The restaurant has fantastic food and wine, so you don't have to venture too far. The pool and surrounding area is great for lounging around. Overall a lovely stay in Vic-sur-Cere. The decor is a bit tired and dated, but it didn't detract from the quality of service. Highly recommend it."

"We were on our way back to the UK after 2 weeks of sun and 30C. We arrived at Les Tilleuls in heavy rain, hill mist and 13C. - so this clouded our views. We received a friendly welcome and directed to our room which although small was clean. Did not understand why we placed in a second story room when there were many unoccupied on the first floor. We enjoyed our evening meal in the hotel’s restaurant. "
