Booked a room for two pax. End up told me I have to pay extra (for the second pax) upon check-in. Told by the two service staff at the counter and one manager, Ms. Penn that my room was for one pax only. After a few email exchange, Ms. Penn insisted that's the hotel policy. When booking, it was clearly stated, one room for a maximum of two pax.
Also, toilet wasn't working (flooded even when there's nothing in the bowl), requested to change room. However, service was slow and had to call the reception 3 times. All in all, it was really a bad experience for me considering this is the first ever time I wrote a negative review after traveling extensively for more ten years.
In the end, we didn't stay for the entire duration that we booked (paid for). Upon check out, one of the hotel staff was puzzled as to why we were checking out earlier. After we told her what happened (not the previous 3 above mentioned staff), she told us that actually we can stay on - and that no money is required for the 2nd pax. By then we were already very pissed and rather spend our money elsewhere than to receive such treatment (make it so hard for us to check in to begin with).
Just bad. Never again.
