This hotel might have been in its prime 10-15 years ago. The rooms and amenities are outdated. We stayed for 5 nights so we can say that based on experience of a few days stay. Our room was missing basic stuff like hand towels and body products that they advertised on the pictures were not there. We got a room cleaning once as they come only in the afternoon when all the tourists are back from the activities. I’ve never seen cleaning like that, they only changed towels and made the bed. The floors were no swooped or sink/mirror in the bathroom now wiped which should be the first things addressed. The breakfast is mediocre at best, very bad coffee both dripped one and the coffee machine. No milk alternatives or iced coffee. Fruits and vegetables were old and had some flies in them. However the view of the restaurant was beautiful lol.
But the pinnacle of our stay was laundry service. We asked for regular a regular laundry, not dry cleaning and our bill came to $70. We paid less for the nightly rate. So be aware that they charge $2 to wash your panties and socks!
Another thing to point out, there is no AC in the elevator so you experience 40 degrees without even leaving the hotel yet - getting ready for the heat outside haha
There are much nicer hotels in the area, but unfortunately we booked this one as there was no availability for the Sonkgran.
3 star at best, not 5 stars.
