Nice house near Bar Harbor
We loved our off-season stay at this little house. Comfy, close to Bar Harbor and Acadia and includes the conveniences of home. Just a few minutes walk to a nearby stone beach. Grateful to have a place like this to bring our dog on the trip! Host communication was responsive and helpful. Only good things to say about this VRBO property.

Bar Harbor in the woods
Very nice, quaint place in the woods, with easy access to town and Acadia National Park. It was cold and windy with snow but the house was cozy and warm. Our favorite accouterment in the house was the large pot we boiled our lobsters in!

Cozy Cottage
Abby Lane was exactly as described! Quiet and relaxing location. The basement portion would be great if older children came along. The main house was perfect for 4 adults and 2 dogs. Aaron was very quick to respond with any questions. Highly recommend booking Abby Lane!

Cozy spot in the Woods
The cottage was very comfortable. The upstairs/downstairs arrangement worked well for people "working from home." Very close to Hadley Point Beach. About a ten minute drive from downtown Bar Harbor. Very quiet neighborhood.

Family gathering

We had a very nice stay. The place is cute and rustic. The queen bed was extremely firm to the point of uncomfortable, but if you like a very firm mattress then you will be happy. Hosts were kind and house was in a very nice location.

Great cabin in an awesome location.
This rental provided everything we needed for our stay. It was clean, quiet and just big enough for our group of 6. After a long day of exploring the island, our boys (13 & 11) loved chilling out in the separate lower level, while the adults in our group loved hanging out on the deck. It was pretty perfect.

Comfortable house in a great location for touring MDI.
The house was perfect for us. Plenty of space so our two teenagers could game and watch movies downstairs without disturbing my husband and I (good sound proofing). They didn't hear us upstairs either. We enjoyed the big windows and skylights for light and view of the woods. The kitchen had what we needed for the modest meals we cooked. It was handy having spices and condiments, and we were glad for the coffee filters, since we didn't bring that kind (cone). We enjoyed walking to Hadley Pt beach for sunset and kayaking there. It was fun feeding the neighbor's turkeys and chickens when they roamed by at dinner time (banana peel was a big hit). The internet speed was great and we had no trouble with cable or hooking up to the TVs. There was plenty of hot water and towels. The washer and dryer were handy. We appreciated the cleaners, cleaning supplies, and tools. The location was so convenient to Bar Harbor and grocery store, Acadia NP visitor center and loop road, and to the quieter western side of MDI. We definitely would stay here again.

We loved our stay!
My group of 6 stayed at the property this week. We really enjoyed the location, amenities provided by the host, and overall set up of the house. The space was perfect for 6 adults. A lot rentals try to squeeze as many people into the property as possible but this was very much not this case for this host which is something I appreciate and enjoyed. I read many reviews saying there was a lack of towel and poor taste to the water but I can assure everyone the host took that into account and provided ample filtering as well as towels for our stay. It is nice to see hosts take in account what past guests have to say. My group of friends enjoyed how the basement was a separated but that may not be ideal for all groups so watch out for that. The only small complaint I have is that the host did not respond super speedy to my messages in VRBO we never ran into a problem but if there were to be a major problem with the house it would have taken a lot of time for them to address that. Overall my crew enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others!

My fiance and I had such a beautiful time here in Maine! Aaron was so accommodating, and the house was amazing, clean, and comfy. We are so grateful to have had this experience. We saw the town of Bar Harbor, ate delicious food, and hiked Cadillac mountain. We will definitely be booking through Aaron any time we come back to this beautiful part of Maine. Perfect Location, Great Accommodations
We enjoyed our stay. This house is perfectly located not far from Bar Harbor or from Acadia National Park. The views from the porch of the house and the beach at the bottom of the hill are amazing. The house had everything you need for a comfortable stay. There are two bedrooms and a full bath upstairs and the lower level has a bunkbed and another full bathroom. We would return in the future.

Great Place!
Perfect place for us. Was in Bar Harbor for daughter's graduation and needed a place for her and girlfriend to stay after they needed to get out of their rental, so the downstairs was perfect for them. Had everything you could need. Spent most of our time at the cottage on the back deck. Eat at C-Ray's almost across the road. Nice walk to the beach, but be ready for that hill coming back up. After the 3rd time you get used to it. We would stay there again! Thanks!!!

Lovely house
We loved our stay here at the cabin, it was such a beautiful house and very homey. Although after we left the property owner messaged us and said we have to pay a pet fee because they found what they believed to be dog hair “all over the house” even though we didn’t have any pets there. We told the property owner this and they were very rude and unprofessional about the situation.

Perfect location. Exactly what we were looking for!
My parents, sister, and I were looking for a cabin right in Bar Harbor, and we were so happy to have found this gem! Location is perfect. Secluded, private area but still close enough to the main road. Everything was within a short 15 minute drive. My sister and I very much appreciated the separate downstairs area while our parents stayed upstairs. Plenty of clean towels provided and kitchen was fully stocked. As another reviewer noted, all we had to bring in was our food. Aaron was quick to respond to any questions we had and provided great suggestions for local restaurants/activities. We did arrive to Bar Harbor a few hours early and so we checked out the location before we passed the time elsewhere until check-in. We saw the cleaning person finishing up who gave us a big friendly wave. We found comfort in knowing the owners take the cleaning process seriously, especially given the strange times we're currently in. Definitely recommend!

Serviceable space. Not worth the expense. Good location.
Our trip started off with us being surprised at how many other properties immediately surrounded out rental. Based on the photographs and description, we had expected a more secluded spot. Because we were traveling with two dogs, having people right next-door in every direction was not ideal. It took our dogs a full day to acclimate to the noises outside, but we managed to make it work. The space itself is fine. The beds aren’t particularly comfortable. The tap water is not good for drinking. While it may be potable, it is not tasty and we strongly recommend buying bottled water for drinking and making coffee. We read a review from 2019 that complained about the old towels and lack of dishwasher soap. Oddly enough, both of those issues were part of our experience as well. For the extravagant amount of fees charged (Still can’t quite get our heads around the fees), the entire situation should have been significantly better. Upon arrival, there is a note that tells you that check-out time is 10:00 am, even though the VRBO listing says 11:00. This didn’t affect us as we left much earlier, but we thought it worth noting. They also do not mention in the listing that they expect you to bring sheets or blankets to cover their furniture if you have pets. When you arrive, their note “reminds” you of this detail. Despite the drawbacks of the house itself, the location was terrific and was close to many good places to eat and very close to Acadia and Bar Harbor. For us, this is not somewhere we would choose to stay again.

We strive very hard to provide a clean and welcoming environment. The house has over an acre of land is in a quiet neighborhood as described. This is considered a large piece of land for the area. This is the only time we have received a complaint about pets. We urge people to follow Maine’s leash law. The pet policy is listed on line as well as at the house. The house shares a community well with 5 other houses. The water is a bit high in iron, but is perfectly potable. All fees and taxes with the exception of the cleaning fee & pet fee are determined by whatever vacation rental marketplace the reservation is being booked through.

Lovely place - but could use bigger beds
Hello, we had a lovely stay at this rental. Great location, clean and had what we needed. The only complaint was that the beds were doubles (probably said this is the description, so my bad for not reading more closely), and for two adults sleeping wasn't restful, in fact I slept on the sofa two nights so my husband could get some sleep. Also, the fitted sheets kept coming off the bed - happened to my parents who had the other bedroom. Thank you!

Lovely cabin outside of Bar Harbor.
We had a wonderful time. Property is very nice, plenty of towels/linens/pillows. Enjoyed sitting on the deck to read in the mornings, you can even catch glimpses of the ocean. Additional fans could be helpful on the humid days. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect for our family (2 adults, 3 teens and a tween)
Everything here is exactly as pictured. Quiet dead-end road with a few other vacation homes. A few hundred yards to a beach (pictured). Owners left a bundle of wood for a fire on the beach, which we did on our last night. There are separate entries for upstairs and downstairs, but we were traveling with some teens so it was perfect for us. Drive times were 5 minutes or less to some great restaurants/ice cream, 10 minutes to Acadia Park Loop and 15 minutes to Bar Harbor. Smart TV's upstairs and downstairs + great internet if you are feeling lazy. Really a fantastic spot for a trip to Mt. Desert Island/Acadia...don't think we could have gotten a better value.

Fantastic secluded getaway
Great place for us to stay with our dog, but near Acadia. We could easily access the trails and towns, but have our home base to relax after a day of hiking. Quiet neighborhood and even had smart TVs we could use in the evenings-just like we would at home!

Beautiful setting, completely furnished, all we brought in was our food.
Quiet, peaceful, tasteful, comfortable and yet only a few miles from Bar Harbor. Very clean, everything worked. Don't miss the astonishingly beautiful sunsets at the beach.

Perfect Home Away from Home
Perfect vacation home to explore the best of Acadia and Bar Harbor, Maine. Clean, cozy and quiet with everything we needed. Sat on the porch and watched the deer stroll by, walked down to the beach at Hadley Point for a beautiful sunset and was close to good food without driving far - C-Ray Lobster, The Log Cabin (those blueberry pancakes), Mainely Meat BBQ, and The Chart House. A quick drive brought us to Acadia National Park - Park Loop Road, Sand Beach, Thunder Hole, Otter Cliff, Cadillac Mountain, Jordan Pond (and Popovers at the Pond House), Great Head Trail and Beehive Loop (crazy) to Bowl Loop and Wonderland and the Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse in the southwest - awesome hiking with outstanding views ! Then a tiny bit farther to Bar Harbor - Bar Island hike at low tide, Shore Path to view Frenchman Bay, food at Paddy’s Irish Pub, Sidestreet Cafe (twice), Adelmann’s Deli for custard, Jordan’s for breakfast (blueberry pancakes and muffins), Geddy’s and awesome Sea Kayaking with National Park Sea Kayak and whale watching with Bar Harbor Whale Company - harbor porpoise, Atlantic dolphins, seals and humpback whales. Our trip was fantastic and it was so nice having the perfect home base where we could relax and sleep well for the early to bed, early to rise kind of trip we were on to make sure we found long term parking in Bar Harbor and to fit in all our hikes and use the Island Explorer buses to get around Acadia !! Thank you to our Abby Ln hosts - we Loved it !

Sunny, clean, dog friendly cottage
We had a wonderful stay at Aaron's and Jennifer's cottage. My older girls enjoyed the separate entrance to their downstairs "apartment", my husband and I loved the beautiful deck and the walks to the beach for sunsets, and my dog loved being a part of the family vacation. We were pleased with how close we were to Acadia and Bar Harbor. The nearby winery and brick oven pizza restaurant is great! The home is very clean, well appointed, and cute!

The place was great and conveniently located... We were there the weekend before July 4 and were grateful we were not in the heart of Bar Harbor which can get a bit zoo-like. We liked the quiet, family-friendly location. We took day trips to Bar Harbor and Acadia and Sea Kayaking all between 15-30 minutes away, but also just stayed and played games together at times, and walked down the street to Hadley Point beach. Only two points of improvement: * The place is so secluded/quiet that when we came in at night we couldn't find the place. We pulled up to where it was supposed to be and couldn't see a house. If a light had been left on for us, we would have seen it. If the owners could arrange for a light to be left on at night for people coming in late, that would be great. * For people like us who are not used to living in places without air-conditioning, it would have been great if they left us instructions to open the ceiling window/vents when it gets warm... we discovered that on day 2, and opening them up cooled the house down wonderfully.

Great spot. Cozy, well-appointed accommodations.
This rental worked well for our family vacation to Acadia National Park in the offseason. The home was clean, well appointed, and very cozy for a colder-than-expected early spring trip. The separate upstairs and downstairs was a bit difficult for us with two younger children (7 and 8) but would be awesome for pre-teens (and their parents) looking for a little space to call their own.
