Staff was friendly & helpful! Rooms and bathrooms were immaculately clean and very comfortable. The included breakfast buffet was delicious with a generous number of options. Loved the free coffee and tea available all day. I will definitely stay here again!

A lovely stay in Basel.
My husband and I had a 3 night stay with another couple. The rooms were very pleasant, although they were very warm. The breakfast was delicious, with both hot and cold food and a very good variety of choice. The breakfast staff were delightful and very helpful, as were the reception staff. It is easy to get into town over the river on the tram.

THE BEST HOTEL
This hotel is possibly THE BEST HOTEL I have ever stayed in. Myself and colleagues were there for a couple of nights and all commented on the comfort and cleanliness of the rooms, the delicious breakfast (especially the pastries) and the nice additional touches (a games room, use of umbrellas, well-stocked complimentary mini bar ...) I will always now use this hotel for our trips to Basel.

The hotel is in an excellent location and the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. Only minor criticism is there is no AC, but the windows open wide and the room was supplied with a large fan so not a major gripe. Overall a wonderful stay.

I sayed in the hotel for one night with my wife. We arrived there after a long drive hoping we can get a good night rest. The room itself was clean and provided us with everything we needed. Unfortunately, the hotel rooms are poorly isolated. We were woken up by sounds coming from different rooms starting 6 30 AM. We couldn’t sleep well and woke up with terrible headaches.

Great location and lovely view walking across the bridge to the old city centre; very clean; reception staff could not have been nicer or more helpful; comfortable rooms with nice touches like shoe horns and umbrellas that could be borrowed; quiet; a very welcome bath tub; though I only had a single room I had a balcony and it was lovely to sit in the evening sun; excellent value for money. I would defintely stay here again.

Stayed for 2 nights in December. Great location with easy public transportation. Comfortable bed, clean and quiet. Automatic blinds were a jet lag life saver. Only issue we had was the temperature of the room. Radiator didn’t seem to regulate so the room was very warm. Otherwise really enjoyed our stay.

Lovely hotel very close to Christmas markets
This hotel is lovely. Free tea and coffee all day in the lobby is a lovely touch. The family room was spacious and easily accommodated 3 adults (space for a cot too if needed). Free soft drinks in the fridge in the room. It was a 10 minute walk to the high street where there were loads of shops and of course the Christmas markets at this time of year.

They've thought of everything!
Amazing amenities. This hotel was water, tea, and coffee available 24/7 in the lobby. And power banks to borrow for the day. Plus free beverages, slippers, and loaner umbrella in the room. Very clean and quiet with great staff!

A secret gem
Wanted to save some money so stayed here rather than the extortionate other places I found or usually stay at. It was amazing. Great location. Great facilities including free drinks, outdoor courtyard and easy work spaces. The rooms were lovely too and very comfy bed. See you next time.

Fantastic choice for a stay in Basel
Wow - what a treat to find the Hotel Wettstein for our Christmas time stay in Basel. As we were driving we needed a place that was easy to access from the autobahn, and had onsite parking. The hotel does charge for parking, and important to reserve a spot, but it was a wonderful convenience. The place is absolutely charming - they pride themselves on thinking about what you might need, and then providing that service without asking - like mini-fridge with complementary drinks, to window washing equipment in the garage for your car. While the room was not the largest we have stayed in, it was very well laid out. And the heated bathroom floor was divine. The bedding was high quality and so comfortable. We were upgraded to a room with a garden view, which meant no street noise, so we were able to crack our window to let in the cool December air. The Breakfast buffet was amazing - everything you could ask for from pastries, to scrambled eggs, to fresh squeeze orange juice. The self-serve coffee/hot chocolate machines are available all day and night so that you could serve yourself anytime. Staying at the hotel includes the Basel tourist card, which gives you free access to Basel local transportation. The hotel is located in Kleinbasel, across the Rhine from the main Basel city center, but it was an easy 1 km walk to the city center, or a short walk to the tram station at Wettstein Platz to catch a free ride into the city center. So - totally happy with our stay!!!

Loved this place!
Great choice - super helpful staff. Walked to Old Town, Tinguely Museum, strolled along the Rhine, had two fabulous dinner at Italian places just around the corner. We had planned to stay somewhere else but that didn't work out, and we're so glad it didn't!
