The staff was very friendly and kind and helped us find places to eat and see around the area! It was a great check-in experience and the room was clean and very nice, great location too. Staff was amazing!

Excellent choice for us to stay at this hotel. it is easily walkable to the beach and nearby restaurants and shopping. Thierry was an excellent host and always at the ready for us, breakfast was delightful. Will stay here on our next Biarritz trip.

We specifically requested a certain type of room, however upon arriving late in the evening we found we got a different room and due to no staff on duty after 8pm nothing could be done about it. After involving Expedia and arguing with a night manager over texts, next morning we were given the right room. The manager told us they never saw the type of room we ordered on Expedia and never got any notes from them. I would advise checking with the hotel directly if room type/bed setup is important to you or if you have any specific requirements. Also the hotel is marketed as family-friendly, however the walls of the shower room are completely transparent only partially covered by a foldable screen. It was a tough situation for our family with 2 teenagers. And also a family room has barely any space to put down suitcases and no closets. On the upside the hotel is very centrally located easily walkable to beaches, promenades, tons of restaurants and cafes.

Our new favorite
Great little gem. Comfy, clean and fabulously managed by a caring and talented owner. His breakfasts are beyond delicious and are photo worthy. The great location is close to little hidden walkways snd shops. And a stones throw away from the beach. You can thank me later.

The hotel is amazingly located right by the beach and close to bars and restaurants. Thierry was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout the stay. The room was clean and modern& the bed comfortable. The only slight downside was noise travels a touch due to the age of the building

Not a beachfront
It's not a beachfront or on the beach as it was claimed, but its close to the beach. It might be one of the differences between north American and Europeans. The hotel is simple, just the essencial: bed and shower, however clean and comfy. There is no elevator, keep in mind if you have heavy luggage. The front desk closes at 7pm, so if you'll arrive after 7pm, inform the hotel and they can help you with that. This was a plus for me. I did not see that when i booked this hotel and I panicked when I saw it... they were very helpful! Besides everyone is super helpful there. In general i had a good stay, the location was good!

This was a perfect hotel for us! It was so close to the beaches and old part of the city! The staff was super accomodating, even with our almost nonexistant French.

Great location, room was just way too small
The staff was very friendly and it was a great location, but the room 4 was just way too small. There was no room to open our one suitcase.

Ideal location
Perfect location in the heart of Biarritz. Easy self service check in if arriving out of hours and very helpful staff at other times. Rooms were a little small and the bed a little too hard. However overall it was excellent value for money.

Biarritz .get the bus opposite the station for 1. Euro.it takes you to the centre.it is about 5 miles. We didnt have a map and asked directions to our hotel.3 people sent us miles out of our way.we were hot and bothered when we found it.we should have had a map .lovely place.a visit to the grand hotel and treat yourself to a drink outside.the,view is lovely. A glass of shandy and a 1euro coffee cost 15 euros..

Cute Hotel, Great Location, would stay again!
Great location, easy stroll to the swim beach and plenty of great places to eat near by. Hotel is very comfy and fairly modern room style. We had a corner room with opening windows with a view towards the local street and ocean. Service desk was very polite and helpful. We would stay here again.

People are very nice. No air conditioning, carpet dirty, small small rooms, no shampoo, conditioner, lotion, small towels,. Had a problem w cancelling prior reservation showed them it was cancelled, and did not exist, they still charged us for three nights in a cancelled reservation, their website says free cancellation snd they said cancellation has to be one week in advance, reservstions was cancelled four months ago!!! And changed from nights to. 2. Now we have to fight it out. Not a pleasant stay

Noisy location and no elevator...
No parking available within reasonable distance and no elevator made our stay a bit uncomfortable as we needed to carry all our luggage through very difficult areas to negotiate. However, the staff was friendly and the town is delightful although extremely noisy. It was almost impossible to sleep throughout most of the night due to a very noisy neighbourhood. No breakfast was available either!

Hello Madam, For your information, there are two park next to the hotel (maximum 200 meters) and you can deposit your luggage just in front of the gate because we have a stop minute. If you want a very very quiet place to sleep don't stay in the center of Biarritz... precisely because it's a city center.

Excellent location, tiny room.
We stayed for 2 nights in Biarritz as part of a tour of northern Spain/southern France. We were driving and the hotel was hard to find as there are lots of one way streets around the town. The staff were excellent and gave us good directions to the nearest car park. The room itself was tiny, (we'd booked a standard double room) we had 2 weeks worth of luggage with us and it was difficult to move around the room once we'd unloaded all of the luggage out of the car. It would be OK for a weekend visit, but I would suggest to upgrade to a larger room if you decide to stay here for any longer. On the plus side the location is excellent with plenty of good bars and restaurants nearby. There is a small non smoking beach within a 2 minute walk of the hotel. The larger beach is a little further away. Breakfast is served on a lovely terrace. The hotel is quiet and quirky with only 12 rooms.

A great location but not a quiet hotel or area. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Perfect for the beach and restaurants, very clean, great shower but small room. Good strong wi-fi.

Good location; small room
Firstly our Sat Nav told us "you have arrived" when in fact we were on another road parallel to but above the hotel, so that took some time to work out and finally arrive. Reception is supposed to be open 24/7 but this actually means that once you have booked in you can gain access 24/7. We arrived at 1.30pm to find the door locked, we buzzed the door bell and were requested via intercom to come back after 2pm. Car parking is on the street. The hotel is in a central location to restaurants, shops and the beach. It could sometimes be noisy at night but shutting the window and turning the air conditioner on solved the problem. Rooms at the back of the hotel would be quieter. Our room was tiny, too small for two people but other rooms seemed to be a reasonable size so take note of room size when booking. Breakfast was nice with a good selection. Free WiFi was good. With the exception of the initial problem checking in reception staff where friendly and helpful with local information and restaurant tips. The decor of the hotel is funky although getting a little tired and faded.

Excellent Hotel, Outstanding service!
Our stay at the Gamaritz Hotel could not have been better, we came for just 1 night and ended up staying 3. the hotel is perfectly located near the main Beaches Cote des basques and grand plage, and close to restaurants shops and cafes all at walking distance. At our arrival we were upgraded to a superior room, it was spotlessly clean, very spacious and comfortable. Best of all the hotel is managed by its owner and wife who are very friendly and accommodating, They will definitely make sure you have a great stay at Biarritz, they helped us out with a place to leave our Surfboards and a place to Park our car. I definitely recommend this Hotel

Small but nice hotel
This is a very small but newly renovated hotel. The manager and owner was very helpful and friendly so you had the feeling of visiting a family. The hotel was perfect located in the central of the town

Another last minute booking. Excellent location near vieux port beach and restaurants. Room by reception very convenient and nice modern furnishing with excellent shower room. Hotel took trouble to ring me when I had left my sunglasses after checking out which I thought was a nice touch!

First time in Biarritz. The dog came too. Made very welcome by the owners who were lovely. Gave us lots of local information which helped.Hotel is well situated and very clean, comfortable & tasteful. We will definitely recommend it even if you do not have a dog! Breakfast very good too.

Everybody was so nice and helpful, and the room was perfect, bright, very clean , This is where I want to stay when I go back to Biarritz
