First time to Billund Lego Land, so thought we would stay in what seemed like the best option, which actually turned out to be very disappointing! Firstly the plus points... Great themed rooms which were bright and clean. Apart from that, we couldn't really think of any more plus points! We have stayed in dozens of hotels across the world, but have NEVER been charged for tap water by the hotel restaurant, which really was unbelievable!! The buffet was awful and certainly not cheap, but to add insult to injury and be charged for tap water was just totally unacceptable. We were also amazed (not in a good way!) that none of the rooms had phones which we could use to contact reception if say we needed more towels (Which we did EVERY night because housekeeping thought that it was acceptable for 2 towels to be shared between 4 people!), but instead, were given a MOBILE number to call should we need the front desk... Again, absolutely ridiculous!!! Lastly, we did think that given the size of the hotel and the number of children that would be there at any given time, the Lego which was left in reception for them to play with was really quite stingy and absolutely no thought had gone into that whatsoever. Overall, it was really disappointing, especially considering the amount we paid for the 4 nights stay and charging for tap water was enough to confidently say that we won't be staying at the Lego Castle hotel again!!
