The themed rooms in the hotel are fabulous. The staff are friendly and helpful. What we did not expect was the amount of self service required. Everything from checking in your own bags to putting your name on waitlist for meals. Also, the food was incredibly mediocre, and the same day in and day out. we chose the castle because we assumed it was the nicest property. The Lego hotel had direct access to the theme park. No big deal as we traveled during off peak season, however, I am willing to bet that if you travel during peak season you will absolutely want to have direct access to the park to avoid the lines to the park.

The hotel was nice, cute set-up and very close to LegoLand and Lego House. It however is not near very many food choices. Our first day we got in at dinner time and thought we would try the dinner buffet. It wasn't a huge selection and cost $75 per adult, $50 for anyone under 17. That's a pricey buffet, anywhere. But that was the only option in the hotel. The person at the front desk suggested LaLandia, which is another family theme area. We walked over, it was fine although still a bit pricey at $35 per person.

My 5 yr old grandson thought it was great but Absolutely not worth the amount of money I paid (ridiculous). I would not pay more than 150.00 for that hotel!

Our son loved the Legoland Hotel. I found the hotel and the breakfast rather basic, but the Lego decorations around it and the proximity to Legoland make it a good place to stay when visiting Legoland. The room decoration is very “loud” like you’re sleeping in a cartoon, and I think it could have been decorated more tastefully. But in the mind of our 6-year old it was a great place to stay. The staff was really friendly, just as everywhere in the park.

The kids loved the castle. There were nice competitions and a hidden treasure in the room. The breakfast was not phenomenal, but it was OK. The rest was great! We loved it! We also slept in the barrels of legoland village but definitely prefer the castle when you look at price/quality.

Stay AWAY - 3 star hotel service
Terrible service for the price you stay. Definitely not "5 star" hotel level. There is NO room service at this hotel, but they have room service at the legoland hotel next door. They won't let you order and take away food because you are a guest at the castle hotel. Absolute stupidity. How difficult is it to provide a plate of pasta and pizza and send it my way? Save your money and stay elsewhere or airbnb it. $2,000 for 3 nights with this kind of service is pure robbery. I walked back and forth between two of their hotels trying to find food to take away for my daughter in the RAIN only to have their staff tell me to walk to lalandia and get food there. WHO SEND BUSINESS TO ANOTHER BUSINESS?

Amazing Legoland Castle, a real tale for children. Beds, pillows very comfortable. Minus no air conditioning, air lasted. Breakfast is very sour, lots of salt. It lasted for fruits and vegetables, there is no fresh juice for the kids

Hotel was not worth the money paid
The toilet lacked adequate toiletries. The dinner was not good. Not too many choices. Same menu repeated. Not worth for the amount of money paid for the dinner . Though had booked dinner for two. On the 11/4 Double allocation of the dinner table due to lack of proper communication between the staff taking payments for the dinner.

Very nice place for the kids, a real feeling to be in the lego Castle! Kids really loved it, and parents too! Lot of facilities for kids to play! But food was not good, expensive buffet with no big selection. At breakfast they had soft boiled eggs only, no possibilities to get hard boiled egg for the kids. Very limited service. But in all we will go again and it's still a great experience.

We had an excellent 3 day break at Legoland Castle Hotel - the hotel has two buildings, the Knights Castle and Wizards Castle. The reception, bar and dining room are in the Knights Castle, our room was in the Wizards Castle. The rooms are larger than the Legoland Hotel, clean and new as the hotel only opened this summer. Modern clean bathroom with a great shower. Breakfast was good but dinner not so good - we prefer the facilities in the Legoland Hotel and ate there on our second night. Staff were very helpful with excellent English and of course, Legoland itself is amazing! We look forward to coming back but will probably stay in the Legoland Hotel next time.

We had an amazing stay at the Castle Hotel, a great experience from start to finish. With activities and competitions for the children and lots of space in the room for the whole family, the hotel is trying hard to impress and succeeds. The staff were all very helpful and friendly, the breakfast arrangements worked well, and the location for Billund and beyond couldn't be faulted. It helps that the hotel is new, everything is spotless and the decor in the rooms is something else, I found it hard to leave a room where you can switch on magic lights and have your wizard potions light up! The food was okay, the dinner buffet was practical and the staff very helpful, but the range of food bordered on the bland and not the high standard of food we had been eating in other parts of Denmark, but it was well-cooked and presented with a special buffet section aimed at appealing to children which did work well. For a fully immersive Lego experience I would really recommend a stay in this hotel, it's magic for children and their parents, and we had a fabulous time thanks to the hard-working staff - definitely worth the cost of the stay and the memories we have as a family are priceless!

Great location
Don’t expect anything else than what you expensively paid for, which is a nicely decorated room and a great location. Hotel is new so very comfortable and everything works. Big parking space in front of the hotel. Other than that, buffet in the hotel is expensive for the food you get and you can’t charge it to the room, cleanliness is average, and there is no other service at all. A laundry room per example would have been very convenient.

Good location, right across from the park. Parking is available and free of charge. No problems at check-in/check-out, excellent. Beautiful building, like from a fairy tale. Rooms are nice but I did not realize it is just a wallpaper. Bathrooms are nice but simple, not well stocked. Not as many amenities as at original Legoland hotel. Dinner buffet is very expensive, hostess is never there, but servers do good job. Overall, good experience, I'd recommend this hotel.

Epic Vacation Fun!
Absolutely awesome! Nice breakfast, super fun rooms with clues for kids and legos for playing, hotel is right next to Legoland and we could walk over to LEGO house as well!! Took train from Copenhagen, then bus 43 to Billund and quick walk over to hotel, epic vacation fun:)

Expedia booked me at the wrong Legoland, I most defiantly booked the one in California, b/c they quoted me in $ not EURO or Pounds, and the tax was California hotel and state tax before I submitted request. When I got confirmation, it was for the DENMARK Legoland Hotel. I called both Expedia and DENMARK Legoland before my stay, and they refused to rebook me into the correct hotel AND charged me the entire $380. So my kids trip was ruined, thanks to Expedia and Legoland. I will never give any money to either corporations again (I've been using Expedia for over 15 years).The whole time I was told by Expedia the first day I called in, I would be getting a refund, and then I get an e-mail saying it was refused, and after another hour on phone, they still said no, and that is after they told me I would get a refund the day I originally called.

Very Disappointing!!!
First time to Billund Lego Land, so thought we would stay in what seemed like the best option, which actually turned out to be very disappointing! Firstly the plus points... Great themed rooms which were bright and clean. Apart from that, we couldn't really think of any more plus points! We have stayed in dozens of hotels across the world, but have NEVER been charged for tap water by the hotel restaurant, which really was unbelievable!! The buffet was awful and certainly not cheap, but to add insult to injury and be charged for tap water was just totally unacceptable. We were also amazed (not in a good way!) that none of the rooms had phones which we could use to contact reception if say we needed more towels (Which we did EVERY night because housekeeping thought that it was acceptable for 2 towels to be shared between 4 people!), but instead, were given a MOBILE number to call should we need the front desk... Again, absolutely ridiculous!!! Lastly, we did think that given the size of the hotel and the number of children that would be there at any given time, the Lego which was left in reception for them to play with was really quite stingy and absolutely no thought had gone into that whatsoever. Overall, it was really disappointing, especially considering the amount we paid for the 4 nights stay and charging for tap water was enough to confidently say that we won't be staying at the Lego Castle hotel again!!
