The lodge itself is beautiful and clean which is the extent of our good experience. The staff at the front desk were unhelpful and did not smile once or act happy to be there. There was a young boy who checked us in, he seemed new and unsure of what he was doing. There was a woman at the front desk with him who likely was training him, but appeared very put out any time he asked her a question and she sat at a computer and rolled her eyes every time a customer walked up. Not one time did any staff say, “We are glad you are here” or “Thanks for staying,” or express even the slightest hint of a smile.
The TV in our room only had one channel that worked. The mattress was like sleeping on a board.The restaurant and bar were severely understaffed and the staff working told us that several times.
The website and signs through out the lodge say no pets allowed, however the front desk has a big sign stating “Pet Friendly” so I’m not sure which sign to believe as I would have brought my dog if I thought the staff would have been friendlier to my dog.
All in all, the Brian Head Lodge left an unpleasant taste and as much as I want to go back because it is a beautiful place, I cannot.
