This property was gorgeous. The views are amazing. The staff was very nice. They have a restaurant overlooking Lake Como that is spectacular. Dinner, wine and breakfast were lovely.
They stayed in contact with me via messages and answered all questions.
I will absolutely return to this hotel my next trip to Brunate.

Thanks Daniellefor your great review. We'll wait you for the next trip!Regards,Raffaella
Exceeded all expectations, friendly warm welcome, helpful in every way. Magical room with breathtaking views of Lake Como, authentic room and surrounding. Room was traditional yet had all the modern necessities needed. Young children were equally in awe of the hotel. 2 minute walk from amazing funicular that takes you down to Como. Delicious breakfast served by helpful and friendly staff enjoyed with views of Lake Como.

Amazing location, on the top of the hill. Perfect view. Very adventurous to drive there... Friendly staff, helped with luggage. No elevator...no air-condition...
Great dinner & breakfast. Location is the best in the area.

Oh thanks a lot!Yes we are working for the lift and the air condition.ThanksRenato Cafà
Hotel is beautiful inside and out with gorgeous views and good food. I didn't realize it's at the top of the funicular, so trips to and from Como are easiest using the funicular.

Thanks so much for your special review!Yes the easiest way is using the funicolar for going down or up the hill because the road coming to our hotel is narrow with a lot of curves
An incredible experience and property. Wonderful views beautifully restored building and rooms. Great restaurant and bar. Really a wonderful location and staff. The drive up is not for the faint of heart but we’ll worth it. 20 meters to the incline down to Como. My only complaint if you could call it that, is that it did not have A/C. But completely understandable given the age of the building. Was not expecting it but it did get very warm in August. Overall a great experience. Would absolutely recommend.

WORST HOTEL IN THE WORLD
There are very rude employees in the hotel, there are 9 rooms in total, at least three people asked me which room I was in, there is no elevator in the hotel, the room is very dirty, the toilet is the worst hotel I've ever seen until I can't find a bathroom
DONT WASTE ANY PENNY THIS GARBAGE HOTEL

We're really sorry to hear that. Our hotel is an old historical beautiful building where it's really hard to fit an elevator. It's specified that we don't have lift in our website. Our staff bring the luggages to the room so the guest doesn't put the effort without elevator to do the staircase with heavy bags. Our staff usually is professional and kind with the customers so it could be possible that they asked few times to be sure which room you occupy, even if we have only 8 rooms.Sincerely it's the first time that they told us about the state of cleaness of our rooms and bathrooms.
The road up to the hotel is mostly one car wide and has to deal with two way traffic :-) We had reserved a parking space. The hotel doesn't have air conditioning, so in summer be prepared to sleep with the windows open and expect a few mosquito bites, there is also street noise, but that said, the room was large and comfortable. The staff are just wonderful, nothing was too much trouble. We ate at the restaurant and the food was exceptional. Would be happy to return.
Beautiful hotel, wonderful restaurant, kind and welcoming staff! Our room with a balcony overlooking Lake Como was perfect!
However, we didn't anticipate the lines for the funicular during the day. Many people take day trips to Brunate, so the wait for the funicular between 10 and 5 was between 30 minutes to an hour.
But the hotel was worth the small inconvenience of the funicular (which does have a lovely view!).
Nice hotel. Old but this is what gives it some charm. Easiest way to it was funicular. Had to queue for 90 minutes to get on it the Saturday we arrived. Pre-Book ticket and bypass the line.
We stayed for our anniversary and this boutique hotel exceeded our expectations. Breakfast service and the setting was superb. Host Renato gave us very practical driving and sightseeing advice around Como.

The hotel is old, the bathrom is super small and terrible shower.Good breakfast and restaurant.
My fiancé and I really loved this place. The staff were wonderful, and the area itself was perfect. The room was always clean with an amazing restaurant below serving magnificent food. When we come back to Como, we're staying here back at the Bellavista for a family friendly presence. Thank you to all the staff to make pur vacation so wonderful.
This place is beautiful from the restaurant to the rooms and the view! But most importantly the staff was amazing!! Definitely will stay there again when I go back. Highly recommend
It was a wonderful experience.
The view is amazing, the old style decor is precious, the road on the way up is so charming.
I would stay longer if I could!!!
The restaurant under is delicious too.
We absolutely loved our stay here! It's up in the mountains and oversees the town of Como. The view is incredible and they did a great job of preserving the historic building. That being said, there is no AC, so if you are there in the summer when it's hot, expect to sleep with the windows open. I will say that if you are someone who has allergies to bugs including bees/wasps you will need to be very careful when in the area as they are rampant! The area is nice to walk around and there is also a funicular that will take you down to Como if you don't want to drive back down.
Quaint, friendly authentic boutique bed and breakfast. Lovely views for a sunset dinner and delicious breakfast. Not an easy ride up the mountain on narrow, curvy roads.
Beautiful old, historic boutique hotel with great atmosphere and amazing views. Driving up by car can be a bit challenging so if you are not comfortable driving on very narrow roads with tight curves you should take the cable car. I'll bring you right to the hotel. Clean and great new bathroom. Great restaurant. Unique views of lake Como!
My wife and I (from Auckland, New Zealand) stayed here for 2 nights. We arrived by Bus from Luzern, Switzerland which stopped at the main rail station in Como and walked to the cable car. Was easy to find.
The hotel was really great - we loved it. You take the cable car up to the top (which is part of the adventure) - you have a great view of Como and the lake.
Staff were helpful - the breakfast was excellent. We recommend this lovely / boutique hotel and we would certainly love to stay again.
A beautiful setting with lovely food and comfortable if small rooms. Shame about the lack of relaxation space.

Location was good. Food ok too.
Hated the drive up from Como as the roads are too narrow for two cars to pass in places. Rooms are small, bathrooms even smaller. Only some rooms have a view so be careful what you book.
The views are amazing and even though the road to the top was crazy it was worth it. The building is old but it is well maintained and the age is a big part of the charm. If possible I suggest leaving your car at the bottom of the hill and take the Funicular up. It's less then 6 euros roundtrip and will save you some aggravation on the drive. The staff was way beyond accommodating and the food in the restaurant was great,
In the historical side. Cozy. Family atmosphere. The restaurant is nice. Little bit

Nice views for lunch/dinner. 2.50 cover charge. Intermediate level of driving required to get to the hotel. Not worth the time/effort to fight the traffic up slope and down slope. The dinner experience was so-so. The seasonal items were fresh. The dessert was very good. We had a pear dessert and a chestnut mousse.
In short, we had an excellent experience and in all ways. Authentic Italian hotel, great service and OUTSTANDING food. Stay here—and go out of your way to do so.
An amazing property. Perched on the side of a mountain overlooking Lake Como. Easy access to the city via a funicular train. Beautiful views, wonderful staff, great food.
Great views on the Lake. The breakfast is terrific.
Loved the old style room, I would return.
The only minor thing is the difficulty of the drive up to Brunate and the difficulty of parking on premises
Bellavista was a real treat. Our room had a balcony with views over Lake Como that were amazing. The restaurant was convenient as well, for a quick bite. Clean space, helpful staff, the only thing I would change would be to add AC. It can get pretty hot in Como in the summer and AC would have helped.
This guest house/hotel is in an amazing location. Staying on top of the moutain, with fantastic views of Como, was an unforgettable experience. The hotel has been restored and will make you feel like you are in old time Italy. The little town is cute, and the close location of the funiclaire makes getting to Como so easy - 10 minutes.
The beds could be better.
Wonderful restaurant. Nicely appointed rooms. Quite tiny, but not by European standards. Very close to the tram. The drive to the hotel involved very narrow streets with tight switchbacks - a bit tricky to navigate them. Lovely views of Como. A lovely spot overall!
Hotel Bellavista is a wonderfully located hotel - the views of Lake Como from our room (which we paid a bit more for than for a room without a view) were amazing but even if you stay on the other side, you can get the view from at breakfast or any other meal if you choose to have one in the restaurant. The room itself was spacious, clean and charming as was the hotel itself.
Breakfast was lavish and catered for all, the staff were friendly and professional. We ate in the restaurant on both evenings we stayed there and enjoyed delicious food on both occasions.
The hotel is located conveniently near to the funicular to get to Como town which made for a very fun trip down and up the mountain!
The service was very personable and they made us feel at home. Try their venison and the turkey, they were perfect!! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Como!!
We were very disappointed with this hotel even though it was in an ideal location for visiting Lake Como, the views were fantastic and the funicular made it easy to access the town. We felt like second class citizens it felt that unless you were eating at the restaurant, even guest had to book for lunch and dinner, the management and staff were not interested in you. We even had medication taken from the fridge by the managers wife and taken home with her,it took hours to get it back. needless to say we will not be staying at the Bellavista again
