I recently stayed at a five-star hotel with high expectations, but unfortunately, it fell short of even three-star standards. The absence of air-conditioning made the room uncomfortably warm throughout my stay, reaching temperatures of 23-24°C. Despite requesting assistance multiple times, the staff were unhelpful, suggesting I simply open a window, which was impractical due to the ground-floor location exposing me to cigarette smoke and security risks. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a disappointing sight of hair around the sink and an unclean floor, indicating poor housekeeping standards. The bathroom emitted a foul odor reminiscent of sewerage, making showering an unpleasant experience necessitating keeping the door shut to prevent the smell from spreading. Overall, my stay was deeply disappointing, and I feel justified in seeking compensation for the numerous shortcomings. Additionally, the Wi-Fi was frustratingly slow, adding to the overall dissatisfaction with the hotel's services.

Greta location, staff attentive, lost card replaced, buffet breakfast, historical building, dirty towels, bathroom door couldnt be closed, not flawlessly clean room, nice decor and stylish lights and bathroom, great spa with clean sauna.

Highly recommended hotel in close proximity to the Hungarian Parliament and waterfront. This hotel was close to the areas with the Christmas markets (Basilica, Fashion Street, Varoshaza Park, etc) but outside the noise zone. The room and bathroom was very spacious and the food in the hotel restaurant was delicious. If you are looking at this property go ahead and book.

Hotel location is very convenient, less then 5 mins walk to the river and the Parliament building. Very grand building, despite the understated entrance from the street. Fantastic breakfast room, and excellent breakfast, a must do at least once in your stay. Room very comfortable, well equipped and beautifully decorated. Staff were very helpful when our luggage did not arrive on the plane; they made several phone calls for us to try and expedite the delivery. Nice lounge bar with good food and choice of drinks. Would return to this hotel.

There were three employees who greeted me when I arrived. One of the is Daniel. The other two I don’t remember but one of the was a girl and the other one a guy from Portugal. Also the Spanish employer at the breakfast buffet was really friendly and helpful.

The hotel was clean and organized, but somewhat impersonal. The rooms were impractical, ie no desk inspire of ample space. The clerks were friendly, but did not speak in Hungarian, the cleaning staff did not my replace our coffee pósanos did they take away an empty water bottle don't expect a replacement.

This is not a 5 star hotel, period. It was converted from some office building. The service is bare minimum. I paid $100 extra for a suite, but received no bonus compared to basic rooms. My room is on the ground floor facing the street. AC in the hotel is weak and the room is pretty humid when setting the temperature at 20 degree C. It feels like basement to me. Adding to the injury, after I reported the problem, they didn’t do anything. When I complained at checkout, again no response. Breakfast is not included, unlike all other hotels we stayed in Czech Republic and Austria on this trip. Don’t count on having breakfast at nearby restaurants — none is open at breakfast time. So you need to pay 25 euro per person in the mediocre hotel restaurant. Seriously, Expedia, you owe me a partial refund. The hotel even refused to upgrade my room when it’s available, as promised for being a gold member.

Liked style, cleanliness, service, staff and food. Outside, good access to restaurants and close to the Danube. Did not like that there was construction (perhaps not hotel's fault but has to be taken into consideration) that caused digging along the entire front and side of the hotel creating huge holes; as well as blocade and equipment left outside the hotel entrance for over a week. Eye sore and inconvenient.

Excellent hotel in a perfect location. The rooms are clean and larger than usual and the beds are very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and varied and the dining room is lovely. It was nice to end the day in the pleasant spa. The hotel is very close to major attractions and public transportation. Above all - excellent service from the entire hotel staff. We will definitely be back!

Very good hotel
The room and everything else was clean and well maintained. The only thing I didn't like about the room were stairs, steep angle and windows on the roof only. Other than that, I was satisfied with everything.

An amazing hotel just like a palace!! The rooms are large and spacious, the staff with a very high level of service - the staff is extremely courteous and responds to every request, a pampering and varied breakfast with special treats from the kitchen.
