"Wonderful quiet location in historic castle borders with roof terrace adjoined to old castle walls and perfect for exploring local town and further afield. We had plenty of bars/food options nearby. The bay is beautiful and our room very comfy and clean. The room is spacious enough and well fitted with everything you need and we slept soundly. Nice clean white modern bathroom suite with good shower and space. Really fantastic fluffy towels-we couldn’t have asked for more with Jan being super hospitable and helpful about recommendations in the area."

"Lovely hotel. We really enjoyed our two night break. Room was very clean but small. The breakfast was great. We were given permission to use the car park hours before check in - which after a five hour drive & before climbing Snowdon was much appreciated! We would love to return one day! Keep doing what you’re doing Royal Victoria! "

"This is a lovely place to stay. We were well looked after, my gluten free dietary needs were catered for and the staff were very accommodating. The house is old so we expected that the rooms might be ‘quirky’ but we had a dangerous fault with our shower that could have resulted in serious scalding incident. We have informed the managers so they can deal with it. Dinner was 5* as you’d expect in a place with a chef of this calibre - wine and port also excellent. Pricey, but not excessive. Overall a lovely quiet and peaceful place to stay but close to local attractions and amenities if you want to travel to them ."
