"A lovely house. The grounds are phenomenal with lovely views of the countryside. Plenty of room for people. Mahil was very helpful and approachable. Pool is glorious and huge. There was a heating issue with the pool but Mahil fixed it without haste. Slight issue is the shop is probably 20 minutes away. Also we paid extra for sheets and towels as didn’t have enough room in the car but there was only one towel each and no floor mat or tea towel. Otherwise very lovely property."

"Stayed for 2 weeks in this lovely apartment- part of a classic French property with a garden and private pool. Although secluded the property is less than 10 minutes drive to Brantome with its many good restaurants and market. Some fine walks in the local area as well. Our hosts, Sandra and Alun, were very helpful about places to visit and great company over a glass or two of wine. We cannot recommend this property or location highly enough."

We shared the large garden with a French cockerel (Monsieur Macron) and his ageing companions (Brigitte and Monsieur Mitterand). Vergt affords a decent supermarket, hotel, and restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our week there and it provided a well situated base for trips throughout Dordogne."

"We had a lovely relaxing couple of weeks 11-25 May 2024. Karima and Mark were great hosts. The weather wasn’t great unusually for this time of year so we only used the pool a few times which was a shame as I love to swim. We made the most of what good weather we had. My husband loves to cycle so on the dry days he explored the area on his bike. The house was lovely and we had most things we needed."

"Le très mauvais temps n'a pas permis d'apprécier la région, ni les extérieurs du gîte (piscine...), dommage. Toutefois Brantôme tout proche vaut le détour et Sarlat aussi mais plus loin. "This was a birthday treat for my wife, so we stayed at a hotel that we had passed many times and heard a lot about. We had a double room but no A/C which was needex. We did find a fan, so we put up with the noise. We looked forward to the lovely pool only to be told it was not in use due to re-tiling, most disappointing. Good news though, the new Spa facilities were now open but the new spa pool was not fit for use. I treated my wife to a massage and I got free use of the sauna's, ice cascade,...
