Family Friendly Hotels in North Carolina

"We were greeted very friendly by the front desk manager. Hotel smelled very clean & is very charming inside. She was up front with us about wifi issues, hot tubs were not on & they do not serve breakfast any longer. Made sure we were okay with it before proceeding & processing our payment. "Entering the hotel, reminded me of hotels in Florida very nice landscaping very tropical with a nice courtyard and a pool in the center. I was facing the hotel across the parking lot, which wasn’t a problem. The room that I was in was a bit dated. I figured that the facility is in need of a lot of updating. However, the shower was great even though the soap was the size of a quarter but I usually bring my own so I won’t hold that against them. The television worked fine. The toilet worked fine....

"Spaciousness and view the best things. Amenities were VERY limited, and when some yahoo rode by oou patio on some kind of ATV for an unexplainable reason at 8AM the morning after we arrived- that woke us up. 'Popcorn and a movie' the following night was equally disappointing. Yes, the movie played, but no popcorn offered, and the latte machine near that area didn't work. Staff was friendly and as accomodating as they could be, but this place is still a work in progress."

"My husband and I had such a magnifcent stay at Hollee's property! The property was impeccable and was the getaway we so much needed. The location was perfect (close enough to the small towns, hiking trails, etc., yet far enough to make feel you are escaping the hustle and bustle of life). "We really enjoyed our stay. The house is clean and very comfortable, in a very quiet community. There are lots of fun little details in the furnishing and decoration of the house that we appreciated. Our only tiny nit: the kitchen is short of a couple of things that aren't on the host's list of items to bring."
