We paid for the deluxe king room and the bathroom was really lovely my only slight gripe was the room didn’t feel especially roomy or deluxe however the bathroom did make up for this as it was gorgeous. Not a complaint but I think I wouldn’t pay the extra for the deluxe room when I come back which I definitely will be doing. It’s worth it for the food and service alone as well as the beautiful scenery. "

"Everything at this Hotel is amazing. I took my wife here for our 49th Anniversary, for a 2 night break and our Honeymoon Suite was fabulous. Great views over the hills. Room was spotless and comfortable. All staff were really helpful, but I must mention, Michael who was here there and everywhere and on hand when you needed him. Food was awesome both breakfast and evening meal. A big shout to Kat at breakfast. This girl is an absolute star, so pleasant and has a very warm welcoming persona which...

"We stayed here on our wedding night. Could not fault any part of it. Room was clean, bed was very comfortable and staff were very helpful and helpful."

"Room was located opposite the hotel gym and I could hear people coming in and out of the gym as the door bangs shut every time throughout the night and in the early morning. Other than that the room was spacious and well equipped though showing the age as the veneer on the bathroom door has faded and started peeling off. "

"The staff here are very friendly and helpful. Food was lovely including breakfast and our stay went really smoothly. I stayed here with my little girl to do some sight seeing ect. The only down fall was that the rooms are a little tired looking and its a shame there not kept quite traditional or old vintage looking to keep in with the 1600 century building. I know some things have to be modernised!....like the bathrooms are but unfortunately our bathroom was not finished in perfect condition,...

"Nice and clean and as expected from Holiday Inn. Loved the sauna and steam room, after a long drive that was much needed. There's also a rapid charger on site which is an absolute God-send as that was one less thing to sort out / look for."

"Room was a little warm but otherwise it was a beautiful sized room! And fab working tv. Shower fab too although the shower gel was empty. Dog was happy in the room too and absolutely loved the ball and treats you gave her on arrival!"

"A pleasant hotel on the top of the hills. The service was very good. One morning my breakfast was delayed due to a conference and I was given that on the house. The room looked a bit worn but pleasant and comfortable enough. My only criticism was the £100 damages deposit that they ask for upfront. I have never been to a hotel that asks for that."
