"Victor went above and beyond as our host. Before even checking into the house, he helped set up transportation, rental cars, and a restaurant reservation recommended by him. His house was absolutely beautiful, and he greeted us upon our arrival to show us around the property. "The location of this villa is ideal if you want to separate yourselves from crowds and drink in nature and peaceful views. "This is an amazing house on an amazing property. The house is well appointed and spacious. The pool is enormous, and overlooks the river. We enjoyed watching the tour boats go up and down the river, and passing the goats and chickens on the road. The host has made it very comfortable. The only downside is it is an extremely twisty and steep road down to the house. But totally worth it for the serenity upon arrival."

"Fatima welcomed and attended to us as if we were family. Deonilde delivered fresh bread in the morning and did our laundry. The view was spectacular, especially poolside. "Our hosts, Maria Eugenia and Jose, were amazing! Kind, informative, generous, helpful, I can't say enough about them. We stayed for four days, two couples in the larger home. It was spacious, each couple with their own bathroom. We ate most of our meals at home. Our comadre caught a cold right upon arrival. She had a comfortable place to read, rest and recover, while we enjoyed the pool and had such a wonderful outing in the boat on the Douro river. This was definitely a once in a life time...

"Lovely place to stay on the edge of the National Park. We were here for 3 nights to explore the National Park. It was a lovely place to explore. Didn't use the house much to be honest, as we were out walking all day. The kitchen was well equipped, plenty of cooking equipment and crockery. Shower was nice and warm. Host was lovely, approachable and welcoming. Thank you."

"Rooms were very modern and attractive. The rainhead shower was excellent. The kitchen was handy. The room had a safe but the safe wasn't bolted to anything, thus we didn't feel if was useful. Tip: be sure to choose a room on the top floor so you don't get the sounds of people walking around at 600am. The staff was very helpful. The location was perfect! "
