"We had a lovely family bungalow for our 3 night stay and this hotel is in a good location. Donna the masseuse was excellent, and the staff were all very welcoming. The only downside was the restaurant had limited vegetarian options for our daughter and the lighting in the evening didn't make it feel cosy so we ate elsewhere. Zanzibar is a very poor island, but the people are extremely happy and there is very low crime. Do stone town on the day you are leaving to avoid the round trip. We had personal guided tour of spice market which was great. Ask for Abbas. So glad we stayed at Baraza!"
