"We've just returned from fantastic break in Portobello. I've holidayed in Edinburgh a number of times but this was the first time in Portobello and we would definitely return (and return to this great pad too!) The area was trendy, cool with lots of great places to eat and drink, topped off with an amazing, beautiful beach. The beach, whilst dog-friendly , was perfectly clean and well maintained. "Excellent location, close to a park with a great coffee shop. Short walk to other amenities such as the supermarket and town centre Only minor gripe is that we could really have done with a couple of extra pillows but we borrowed some off a family member who lives locally "

"Absolutely beautiful stay. The lodge itself was gorgeous, in a great setting and the views are spectacular. Quiet and peaceful, no disturbance whatsoever. The surroundings are just spectacular. We mentioned it was our little minimoon and they very kindly left us some chocolates and a bottle of fizz. Amazing stay exactly what we needed. Wish we could have stayed longer xxxx"

"The house was perfect for our family very well equiped, plenty of space inside to spread out, bedrooms and bathrooms as required by us all. Lovely wee village and lots to do and see in the area. Enclosed garden for dogs and fantastic conservatory with dining space. Owner left us eggs from her own hens and easter chocolates. Would highly recommend, thank you."

"A delightful house in a very quiet setting but convenient for all the attractions of the area. The house has real character and we enjoyed being able to walk our dog through the neighbouring woods. Would certainly aim to return."

"It was a lovely cottage in a lovely location. I would have given it a 5 star but there was a couple of things that made it a 4 star rating. The postcode doesn’t take you to the location and it would have helped if there had been directions given to let you know that. I had to contact the seller to find out how I get in as well as directions when we got there. No hand towels were provided and there was 5 of us staying who all needed those for after washing our hair. Very bare minimum of things...

"What a pleasant surprise this find was! We were able to book three nights on relatively short notice. There were four of us visiting Scotland, with two playing golf at several of the local courses. It is very conveniently located near St. Andrews, as well as other little coastal towns. We stayed in The Pines, which was a lovely little house at the end of a road. The grounds were beautiful, and the house fit our every need. It was a perfect ending to a busy 10-day Scottish whirlwind tour."

"Such a great location and a beautiful little cabin, spotlessly clean and welcoming. We arrived to the lights on and a welcome drink and chocolates which was very thoughtful. There’s so much to explore - amazing beaches, the nearby castle and of course Drift Cafe which is probably the best cafe I’ve been to. Would highly recommend."
