"Third visit can’t fault the hotel at all restaurant is excellent lobster risotto a disaster but was changed immediately no problem would highly recommend it"
"Our stay at Hotel Bella Riva was a fantastic experience from top to bottom. The breakfasts were phenomenal, perhaps the best I've ever had on holiday. The service from all of the staff was top tier. Every member of the staff acted with such relaxed professionalism.
If I had to say anything was disappointing (nothing really was, but just to say something) the fine dining approach to dinner was a missed opportunity in my opinion. It is hard to have fine dining multiple nights in a row, a lot of people travel to Italy for comforts they know from other countries, pizza, lasagna, pasta, etc. You won't get that sort of thing with Hotel Bella Riva's fine dining dinner menu. Not to say it's bad food, it is good food.
It is easy enough to get into the various towns and hotspots around Lake Garda as well, the bus services nearby are very useful, and everything is reasonably walkable as well.
Overall, 10/10 experience, would love to come back."
"Just got back from our second time here (May 2026 and May 2025).
Both times were great weeks here as a family of 4 - two adults and kids aged 12/13 and 8/9. Great location, brilliant swimming pool, relaxed atmosphere. Loved the mini club for younger kids in the morning and the mini disco in the evening.
Great little shop on site. Didn't use the cafe/ bar but lots of people did.
Only thing is that it can get a bit noisy from other guests and/ or neighbouring campsites - this affected us more in the first year and not at all this year."
"The only positive was the location: it is near the shuttle bus and not too far from the center.
However, the stay itself was very disappointing and far below what we expected from a 4-star property. The room was advertised with a double bed, but we received two unstable single beds pushed together. The mattresses separated easily, making it very uncomfortable to sleep.
Bedding was inadequate: single blankets, no proper blanket covers, and unpleasant smells. Towels and sheets required extra payment, which was not clearly disclosed when booking. Wi-Fi also required an extra charge.
The bathroom had visible mold in the shower, broken sink and bidet fixtures, and almost no toiletries except one small hand soap.
We reported the problems to reception and were told they would be fixed, but nothing meaningful was resolved during our stay. Overall, cleanliness, comfort, amenities, and service were unacceptable."
"This is a smaller hotel but nice and in a quiet location. The rooms as clean, comfortable beds, just very small in size. We had to put our large luggage on top of the cabinet as there was no space on the floor. The pool is small but clean. Check in was fast and the front desk was very friendly and helpful. We only stayed one night as they were fully booked for the weekend. There is a restaurant right across the street, looks nice, we didn't try it. Breakfast had a wide variety of choices and the hotel has plenty of parking around and under the property in the garage."
