I have been fortunate enough to have stayed in many wonderful hotels over the years - and there is little doubt that this is among them, and particularly for a personal (and not a business related) stay. Firstly, its location is magnificent - centred in the old town on a beautiful, quiet street and within a couple of minutes’ walking distance from everything you need. Second, the staff could not have been more helpful or agreeable - every single one of them (including the cab driver, Alex, who picked us up and dropped us off to the airport, and although he was not among the staff, it was arranged by the hotel) was exceptional - and hotel owner Alexandra also gave us marvellous recommendations for places to go and see and around the island as well. Third, the design of the place was beautiful. Contemporary, classic and spotless, it was so stylish and superbly maintained. We had a fantastic room overlooking the street with a small balcony. The rooftop area where breakfast is taken each morning was an oasis in itself - and the breakfast was just delicious. I couldn’t recommend this hotel any more, frankly - and we fully intend to return (and to persuade Alexandra to open some more hotels in our other favourite locations elsewhere!).

We had a lovely stay at the Veintiuno for a couple of nights. The room was beautifully designed and comfortable. Every member of the staff was efficient, personable and went out of their way to be helpful. The property gave us the feeling that we were staying at a friend's large home. It's a unique place to stay and I'm happy to recommend it.

Beautifully renovated small boutique hotel. We received a warm welcome and were given recommendations for local bars and restaurants. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the roof top dining area was a lovely place to enjoy some very enjoyable freshly cooked food for breakfast, The pool area is small but fine for a dip to cool down and is handily located next to an honesty bar with crisp cold Chardonnay chilling in the fridge. We cannot find fault with this well run establishment

We stayed for 6 nights and had an amazing stay. Fabulous location and room was tastefully decorated with a modern large walk in shower staff really helpful and we loved the roof terrace and the honesty bar. Although hotel next to the cathedral it was peaceful surrounded by good bars and restaurants. Cost on average 7 euros to get a taxi to the sandy beach with again a lovely promenade and restaurants and lots going on - definitely recommend this surpasses all expectations and lived up to previous reviews

Brilliant hotel in central old town Las Palmas
Lovely hotel in a quiet but very convenient location. We came to relax for a week to reset and we managed just that. But I cannot praise the staff and owners enough for making us feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Alex and Paco made us feel like we were friends staying in their home and they were always happy to recommend where to visit and, importantly, where to eat great food. I love what they are doing.

Lovely little gem in the old town of Las Palmas
The tasteful décor and positevely lovely staff made for a very homely stay, while the bar and pool on the top floor terrace offered a very relaxed and romantic atmosphere. All in all, it made our last night on the island perfect! The hotel benefits from a perfect position for those who want to explore the old town of Las Palmas (the Canarian Museum and Columbus house are both a short walk away, with the cathedral literally accross the square). Cafes and restaurants are a short walk away.

Beautiful Modern Spanish Retreat
This hotel was such an incredible breath of fresh air. The rooms were beautiful, the included breakfast was delicious, and the hotel itself is situated in a very walkable and picturesque part of town. I will definitely be back.

This is a beautuful hotel, only about 16 rooms, next to the Santa Ana Cathedral. It is in a quiet location so you are not disturbed by noice from the bargoers and tourists that flock to this area in summer. Couple of very nice museums within 5 minutes walking distance for those who enjoy visiting them.

Excellent location and very nice boutique hotel in the historical center of Palma. The service is superb as well as the quiet roof terrace with pool. Definitely worth the title of best hotel in the area.

We LOVED Veintiuno hotel! It is set in the old part of the city within the quaint streets with museums and restaurants nearby. The owners Alexandra & Paco are lovely friendly people who welcome you wholeheartedly to their gorgeous little hotel. All the staff are wonderful and are always smiling & helpful. Our room was comfortable & peaceful and very clean. The whole hotel was spotless! The roof terrace is the icing on the cake - overlooked by the cathedral & such a great place to have a cup of tea & read a book. We stayed a week and tried every single delicious thing on the breakfast menu. On the weekend you can take breakfast in the sunshine on the roof which was fantastic. Thank you Marta for your sunny smile, welcome & excellent service during our stay. Thanks so much Alexandra & Paco for your attention to detail & fantastic recommendations for places to eat. Also for our friendly & enjoyable chats with you. What a relaxing week you gave us at your beautiful boutique hotel. Jo & Steve, Scotland.

We really loved Veintiuno as it was located in the old part of the city and close to attractions such as the cathedral. The hotel itself was lovely; tastefully decorated, quiet we particularly liked the rooftop terrace and pool.

It is unique in its location and the way a historical building can be used as a high quality hotel. Overall the stay was excellent and the food at breakfast was outstanding. But there were a few omissions - not easy to get a drink, whether alcohol or coffee or tea - the beautiful rooftop bar (a local attraction) was only open at weekends. In the room you would have to be comfortable with sharing - washbasin in the room, toilet and shower behind a glass partition. And there were no tissues! There was limited storage in the room - open hanging rail and a few drawers. Staff were very helpful but there were not many of them - the receptionist served breakfast as well.

Delightful hotel with charming staff
We spent a delightful week in this stylish boutique hotel, situated in the pretty central Las Palmas Old Town location of peaceful & immaculately clean cobbled streets almost next to the Cathedral. Indeed, from the roof top bar with comfy sofas, loungers and a small plunge pool, the views of the cathedral are immediate. As people who never want to have to eat breakfast early, we really appreciated the relaxed approach of breakfast being served until 12 and also of being able to enjoy it on the rooftop bar at the weekend. Relaxed late breakfast is one of the joys of being on holiday but is so rarely offered. Moreover, we were so happy that it wasn’t buffet breakfast, which rarely offers freshly cooked dishes, since they often sit underheated for many hours after cooking. Instead, the talented and friendly chef cooked/prepared to order our choice from a sophisticated menu of 4 savoury and 4 sweet dishes, along with juice and unlimited and quality coffee. His home-made granola is particularly memorable. It was so refreshing to find that he uses quality ingredients for all dishes. Our room (#6) was large and airy with a supremely comfortable bed and was immaculately cleaned daily. We aren’t fans of the open plan bathroom and open clothes storage but these are becoming more common. Overall, the friendly, kind and very helpful personnel made our stay truly memorable. The charming owners could teach Customer Service best standards to the hotel industry. Thank you, Clare & Tony

One of the nicest places I've stayed in!
Veintiuno is a wonderful place to stay; we came away feeling very relaxed and well looked after. This very old building has been restored with love and attention to detail, with magnificent results. Breakfast is really nice, with several savoury options followed by sweet ones on offer. Beds very comfy and the rooftop with pool and bar is stunning. Alexandra and Paco will do anything within their power to make their guests' stay as amazing as possible, and have great advice as to which of the many local restaurants will suit. The local old town area is great and full of character and history; the Cathedral which is beside Veintiuno is worth going up the tower for the wonderful views. Additionally, Veintiuno is just a short walk from the main shopping street, which is useful. Really well worth a visit.

Wonderful place, with excellent, professional, friendly, helpful staff. Highly recommended for a viait to Gran Canaria if you want to avoid resorts.

Veintiuno is a unique and charming hotel in the heart of historical Las Palmas. It is a gorgeous setting from which to go on strolls around the city and explore the history and beautiful sights of this jewel. The friendly owners and the rest of the staff make you feel at home and provide the necessary attention to your needs in order to spend some quality time away from home. The breakfasts are delicious, whether just having a croissant, or eggs, or the incredible tortitas (pancakes). The relaxing pool and terrace area will make you wonder if it is necessary to go out at all but with such beautiful views you will be enticed to go and see the town, just maybe later. Can't wait to go back.

Schönes Hotel immer wieder gerne. Die Einrichtung war wunderschön. Ich kann das Hotel mit guten Gewissen weiterempfehlen. Da kann man nichts falsch machen.
