"We visited Annapolis to attend the graduation ceremony at the USNA and wanted a hotel within walking distance from the Academy and the waterfront. We stayed at the Robert Johnson House (one of three properties comprising the Historic Inns). Check-in is done at a different property (Governor Calvert House) just a short walk away on the same street: State Circle. This is also where valet parking is located. If you have a lot of luggage or just prefer not to lug it from check-in to your hotel, I suggest waiting to park your vehicle after you unload and then walk back to your room. Everything about our check-in and valet experience was very easy. One thing to note is that if you need your vehicle before they open at 7 am, notify them the evening prior, and they will have the vehicle parked at the curb with the keys at the front desk. Another thing to be aware of is that the restaurant is located at the 3rd property--the Maryland Inn. We did not eat there, but this is good to know, just in case. There is no vending at the RJ House, but there is ice. Our room was small, but that is expected with a historic inn. The king bed was very comfortable, and extra pillows were brought right away when requested. Many restaurants and shops are just a short walk away. I have a mobility disability, and I still found it accessible to walk from the RJ House to the waterfront--and even to the USNA. All in all, we had a delightful stay and would recommend the RJ House. "

"We stayed here for a night around the Naval Academy graduation and the Air Show, and it was a very quiet and comfortable place to stay/get away from the hustle and bustle! Our room was comfortable and clean, and all the staff members were very friendly and helpful. We were very grateful for the 12pm checkout when we left. We would return in the future!"
