My sons and I stayed here for just one night and wish it was longer. The funicular was not operating so instead of going down to the castle we walked the trails around the hotel. So beautiful and peaceful and turned out much better. This is a wonderful hotel for kids. There are so many trails with fun things for them to climb on. In the summer it looks like there’s some sort of adventure park with rides and bird show. The staff was super helpful and very kind. The facilities are quite nice, super clean and everything looks exactly like the photos. We ate an early dinner at the restaurant. Service and food was great.

The mountain railway is collocated with the hotel so Heidelberg is easy to visit.

An amazing hotel in a great location. The main issue is getting to and from the hotel after a certain time as the taxi can be pricey. But otherwise we had a great time and plan on coming back again in spring
