"I absolutely loved this ryokan. The pictures online do not do it justice; the property is even better in person. The staff were very welcoming. The meals were amazing. The property was bigger than I thought it would be. The setting was peaceful. It was exactly what I was looking for. My only recommendation is that the shuttle from the train station should have a sign with the name of the property. "

"This was our first stay at a rhyokan (spelling!)and we were blown away by the beauty, The comfort (personally I felt sleeping on tatami mats on a futon perfect). The attentive service was welcoming and spot on. We ate breakfast and dinner here and the local food was abundant, gorgeously presented and flavorful. We had a room with a private Onsen on a deck. Highly recommend. This was a unique, peak experience and I am a seasoned traveler. Do it. "

"So, this is a love hotel. It says "Adults Only", you should know that. But what that means is that they are not built to handle foreigners booking in advance. We wandered around a bit before realizing we'd have to call someone to the front desk. We were able to check in, but knew very VERY little English.
