If taking in an Iowa basketball game, this hotel will suit your needs perfectly. Easy safe walk to the stadium and you are permitted to leave your car in the hotel lot while you attend the game (even if you have checked out of hotel that day). Exceptionally courteous staff throughout the hotel. Nice pool and exercise room. Handy casual restaurant located within the hotel lobby.

Hawkeye Central
We booked this hotel due to its proximity to Carver Hawkeye arena as we were attending an Iowa Women’s Basketball game. Check in was smooth, the room was nice, it was clean and the bed comfortable. It was about a 10-15 minute bite walk to CHA and it is right across the road from Kinnick Stadium. I would definitely recommend this place.

I like the fact that there was a resturant in the hotel and we didn't have to travel any further to get something to eat. Didn't have far to go for appointment.

Outstanding hotel and staff
This is a lovely hotel, well set up and well-kept. The restaurant was a wonderful surprise — very good food, nice wines, friendly people. The service overall was absolutely outstanding! No request was too much trouble. I would definitely recommend and will stay here again. My only quibble (minor) was that the room was quite dark. There was a nice chair with small table next to it, which would have been a great reading spot, if there had been any light anywhere near it. Maybe just one more lamp?

We chose the hotel because of the proximity the hospital. Wish it had a shuttle for the airport but otherwise it was great.

An absolutely enjoyable experience. Check-in was a breeze. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. When I arrived my phone battery was nearly dead. The staff offered to charge it for me while I ate. The bar-restaurant is in the lobby area, very convenient. The bartender was knowledgeable and friendly. The wait staff were very pleasant. Just a 2 block walk from the Childrens Hospital made this soo convenient.

This hotel really knows how to serve its clientele.. rooms have great amenities for football weekends! Walkable to stadium and lots of bar area seating with big screen tvs to watch football! Truly a touchdown! Go Marriott!
