Peace in Ireland
This property was exactly as advertised. Very easy to find. The host, Catherine, was very welcoming and had lots of information to share. The property was very cleaned and well cared. We recommend to anyone looking for a friendly, peaceful place to stay while visiting Ireland.

Family friendly retreat
We loved our time at the Stone Cottage. Catherine was such a wonderful host and took so much time to answer our 101 questions about the gorgeous calves we were so lucky to meet and help feed during our visit. The house was perfectly located so close to Kinsale, and Catherine shared lots of recommendations on where to spend time. The house was clean and comfortable and Catherine left delicious home-baked scones, milk, butter, tea and coffee. We view was also breathtaking. We will certainly be back! Thanks again for having us all!

A Week in Kinsale
The property owner was very helpful - even purchased some gluten free bread for my gluten intolerate wife. She was a wealth of information on tourist attractions in southern Ireland. We were very pleased with all aspects of our stay at this accomodation. The weather was cold and wet and we even experienced the "Katherine" storm which curtailed some of our tourism activities

Fantastic!
We really enjoyed our stay! The entire cottage was spotlessly clean. It was wonderful having 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and plenty of space. Catherine is extremely kind and hospitable. She left us mouthwatering scones and gave us a lot of great info on arrival. We wish we could have stayed more than two nights!

This was the highlight of our weeklong stay in Ireland! Catherine was a lovely host, and the accommodations were idyllic if you truly want to experience the Irish countryside, right up to my children getting to feed baby calves!! The location was beautiful, and the rental was perfect. Catherine's recommendations for things to do in and around Kinsale were fantastic. I highly recommend this property!

Amazing stay!
We absolutely loved staying here! The cottage was so comfortable to stay in and the host Catherine was so nice and helpful. She had so many good recommendations and we loved the town of Kinsale. The area is beautiful and the property at the rental is so amazing. There’s also so many cute animals! We will definitely go back and wish we could have stayed longer.

Had a fabulous stay at Catherine’s. The stables were clean, well furnished and welcoming. Catherine had made scones and left some milk and tea/coffee etc all which was very much appreciated. Catherine herself was lovely, full of useful information about the local area. And so accommodating, she helped us out with a lift, when we had taxi problems. The stables are around a 50 minute walk into Kinsale, via a nice scenic walk and some well timed pub stops, but only a 5 minute drive. Kinsale is lovely and well worth a visit - some great independent shops and restaurants. And fabulous pints of Guinness to be had! 😊

Lovely location near Fort Charles
A very clean and comfortable property close to Fort Charles and Kinsale. Our family of 5 loved our stay here. Catherine was very informative and everything you might need had been thought of. Very comfortable cosy beds. Great shower pressure. All you need in the kitchen to cook. Definitely recommend.

Fantastic stay in a beautiful home in a beautiful area.
The property owner was extremely helpful and kind. The house was very comfortable, very well equipped, very clean and in a very lovely setting. It was a short drive to the charming town of Kinsale and an easy drive to Cork and Cobh. We all enjoyed our stay very much.

Right away Catherine was there to greet us and gave us so much helpful information from where to get some groceries to dinner recommendations and even activities in the area. We had actually originally planned to spend most of our time in Cork and day trip areas, but she lured us right away with the charm of Kinsale and we ended up spending more time there. The property was great for our group with lots of space to spread out. Wonderful views at the property, very private, and a very short drive to downtown Kinsale; could have even walked.

We have just returned from a week's stay in this wonderful cottage. The accommodation was modern, spacious, clean and comfortable with everything we could possibly need. The location was set in beautiful countryside just on the outskirts of Kinsale. Our Host, Catherine, was extremely welcoming and made us feel right at home. We loved our stay and will definitely return!

Great taste of Ireland
Catherine came and talked to us as soon as we arrived. She had scones, milk & butter for us, recommendations on where to visit and just friendly and welcoming. The place was very comfortable for the 5 of us and beautiful countryside views. We stayed 3 nights and were relatively close to everything we wanted to see around Cork, Blarney & Killarney. Upon notifying Catherine we were leaving she came over to say goodbye and wished us safe travels.

This experience was great if you want to have some quiet time while still being close to kinsale (5 min or less car ride) or to cork (30 min drive) Our host was amazing and offered many options for food/ exploration/ sites etc. There’s also a couple dogs and a cat on property that just follow the host around and they don’t come over to the cottage but I would have gladly welcomed them over. 10/10 would recommend!

Catherine was the kindest, most caring hostess we have had. She had endless patience, answering all my kids questions and showing them her working dairy. The view from the property is absolutely spectacular! You will have everything you need for a lovely holiday in the rental, and it is so close to lovely Kinsale and Charles Fort. I could not recommend more!

One of our best VRBO experiences
It was a lovely experience to stay in the Irish Countryside. Catherine was wonderful and was the quintessential Irish host. The property was not only beautiful, but property views were stunning. We loved chilling at the refurbished stable at the end of our traveling for the day. Close to several small towns. We loved watching the cows walk out to the pasture. This was one of our best VRBO's. Thanks Catherine. Anyone going down Kinsale way, I'm suggesting they stay at your beautiful home.

This property is a gem. It is only a few minutes drive to get to Kinsale. It is out in the country where it is quiet and you have wonderful views of the Irish countryside. My family of four had plenty of space in the cottage. The cottage had a full kitchen and living area downstairs with the bedrooms upstairs. Catherine was a wonderful host and communications were easy, friendly, and timely. Upon arrival, Catherine took great care of it to tour us around the unit and give us much information for what to do around the area. We would have no hesitation to stay here again.

We had a fabulous stay at Catherine’s place! There was plenty of room and we felt right at home in the cottage. Great communication and you could not ask for a friendlier host who would check in and give us local recommendations and a friendly chat! "The Stable" cottage is located on a farm with a wonderful view and a short drive to Kinsale. Catherine was extremely helpful in advance by helping us to select restaurants. She was there for a friendly welcome at our arrival and made a point of coming round to say goodbye. Even contributed a plate scones and some of her own coop's butter for breakfast on our first day. Great place, as well as a great example of Irish hospitality.

Catherine (and her pups) were the best hosts. She communicated via email in a timely manner and was very kind by driving us to town to save us cab fare. The home was updated and modern inside but still had the charm of a natural setting and farm. We were very comfortable and really enjoyed Kinsale. Catherine gave us hints on where to eat and go for music and drinks afterwards. Excellent stay.

So glad we stayed here! Beautiful farm and really nice hosts. Gave lots of information to help us.
We were greeted by Catherine as we drove in. Very cute entrance. Very clean living space. Full kitchen and family room down stairs. 2 bedrooms (sleeps 5 total) upstairs each one with its own full size bathroom. The host, Catherine was very nice. She allowed our 10-year old daughter and I to help feed the baby cows. There were 10-12 baby cows all less than 4 days old. Catherine gave us lots of recommendations while we were in town, from places to eat and things to see. My family has said this was our favorite VRBO and if we get to come back to Kinsale Ireland, we would definitely want to stay here again.

Cathleen is great. The space is tidy and convenient. We loved it.
Cathleen checked us in, showed us the space and answered all of our questions. The bed was comfy and the skylight was located right overhead so we could watch the stars before dozing off to sleep.

The Perfect Irish Getaway
We had the best time at Catherine’s property! The cottage was very clean and perfectly spacious for four people. Catherine made us feel very welcome and left the most delicious scones and thoughtful provisions. Her dogs Ted and Tilly were an additional highlight. Thank you!
