The breakfast buffet was very good, pancakes for the kids, fresh bread with an excellent variety of toppings including smoked and cured salmon. The sauna was very nice (note that it is a co-ed shared sauna). But the indoor pool was not heated (at least not sufficiently for my taste). Much of the area around the hotel was under construction. The library room was closed due to remodel. The room was very nice with a bunk bed for the kids.

Rooms were clean and simple, quiet despite lots of people staying. Only complaint was that WiFi was really spotty- would drop frequently and poor signal at our room. Otherwise OT was all fine!

Breakfast at the hotel is delicious and you can pick from a variety of options. Bread is just made fresh and delicious. Pub is also nice, good ambiance, good drinks, and burgers are great

This hotel was a great place to stay for a few days in Kiruna. Several great dining options were available at the hotel as well as nearby. The accomodations were clean and comfortable even with below freezing temperatures outside. This hotel will be top of my list to stay at when I return to Kiruna.

Modern + comfy with super gym, under construction
Hotel is comfortable and modern, tho they are doing some construction, so parking is limited. The gym is the best I've ever seen in a hotel for weight training. Seriously- more stuff than my local gym. Awesome. No cardio equipment. Not sure why the stairwell stank so much - I assume it's a temporary problem.

What I would expect from a property away from the big city. A rough spots, but not particularly annoying: Bathroom design, shelf space, I would return to this property. Staff friendly and accommodating. Good experience.

unique hotel with fabulous breakfast
My highest recommendation. They say they have the world's best breakfast and it's true - even reindeer sausage and two kinds of salmon. We love the uniqueness of this hotel because it used to be a school. All rooms have high ceilings and beams; bathrooms have heated floors. We have stayed three times and will be back. Our room on the 3rd floor had an exposed brick wall (1st floor room did not). Extensive and clean gym. Nice sauna and indoor pool. Even a library with books and magazines to take. Good location. No negatives at all.

Nice pools and sauna, friendly staff, a billiard table and trampoline, good restaurant (also friendly staff there!) and very good parking with ev-charging possibility. Area was not in our view very stimulating for leisure, we stayed here on our way from Lofoten to Kolari and this hotel was perfect for that purpose, we got to relax in the pool and sauna.

As the building used to be a local school and now its beautifully reformed as hotel. The structure of the building is rather strange having staircases everywhere around but the rooms and restaurants are well made and it was very comfortable. Very good hotel.

Cozy Hotel Stay
We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Arctic Eden. The pub in the hotel had a delicious menu. The staff was very accommodating and helpful as well. We asked for help on several different subjects including bus schedules and tours, and they were more than happy to help. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. It is a great location too, as it is within in walking distance of several bus stops and the bus station. Totally worth your money!

Really nice hotel not far from the centre
Our stay here was great in every way, we arrived far earlier than check in time due to the arrival time of our train and they were most accommodating in trying to get our room ready as early as possible, allowing us to store our luggage, recommending somewhere for breakfast/ lunch. Room was comfortable, shower in room great, ambience in the hotel bar/ restaurant great and just what we needed after a long day out

Much more than meets the eye
From the outside it doesn't look promising, a mid-20th century school building turned hotel with a gravelled parking lot. The inside however has a nice contemporary standard, good breakfast buffet, relax area with sauna and a large pool. The gym area is shared with a local gym, meaning it is far more well-equipped than your standard hotel. Nice Thai restaurant in the same building plus fast food restaurant offering reindeer/moose subs across the street.

I stayed in this hotel for once night as a stopover to Abisko. While I didn't get to take advantage of its amenities, I liked the fact that they have a sauna and gym on site that guests can take advantage of. The room itself was clean, moderately sized and offered a nice view of the mountains. This location also seemed close enough to restaurants and various sites to visit in the city. Their breakfast was pretty awesome! You have a plethora of pastries, waffles, pancakes, bread, cheeses, meat, eggs, fruits, and veggies to choose from. I found the staff to be extremely helpful and they even called a cab for me to get back to the airport in the morning. The only con is that the shower enclosure was small. I'm 4'11", weigh 100lbs, and even I felt cramped with the door closed. You do have the option to shower with the shower door open so if you can deal with a wet toilet, this may not be a big deal for you.

Average, just ok to sleep between activities
Room 406 had a strange layout, with a long corridor and tiny space around the bed, much smaller and darker than similar rooms that we saw on the same floor. Cleaning crew doesn’t seem to know what they are doing: day 1 they changed our towels although we hang them to reuse but forgot to put new ones. Day 2, they gave us again new towels. Day 3, we had clean folded sheets placed on one of our luggage. Not sure if they changed the sheets or not, doesn’t care for just 3 nights, but just it was strange. One of the room next to ours stayed with the door open 1 day and 1 night, with the mop and bucket against the door (see picture, that also how we could compare our room to that one). The last night, we were awaken by the someone using a vacuum cleaner at 7am above us. Receptionist not helpful when asked about train tickets (question: can we buy the day of, it better to buy in advance. Found out by ourselves that better to book in advance. Positives: conveniently located just a few minutes from the restaurants downtown and from where most tours start. Sauna was nice and clean. The Pub in the hotel has decent food, well priced, and is convenient when feeling lazy to go out after a long day.

We just hired a new cleaning lady and she is not yet familiar with the routines and we, of course, would like to apologise for this. I can see that you were staying in room #406. I am not quite sure which room you managed to enter, but the rooms beside yours are Superior Deluxe rooms. These rooms cost a little bit more and has a general higher standard than the Superior Queens. I would also of course like to apologise for the receptionist who wasn't able to help you out with the train tickets. I will make sure to speak with all the receptionists regarding the issue. Super-friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast plus good value meals available in Thai restaurant that adjoins the main hotel. Good size rooms for the price and with easy access to the centre of town.
