Spent a week at this wonderful hotel in a very comfortable room on floor 1, which has an amazing view of the beautiful sea and amber sunsets. This floor has direct access to the private stretch of beach where you can always find a deck chair and brolly.
It was my partner’s birthday during our stay and after a day out celebrating, we came back to find a yummy cake left in our room! Very thoughtful!
We went half-board and this is our only regret. The food is ok, but it’s a bit mishmash - for example, one night served cottage pie, spring rolls and pasta. We’d recommend dining out each night at the tons of restaurants a stone’s throw away overlooking the lovely marina for around the same cost.
If you aren’t particularly mobile, this isn’t a good hotel (or location) for you. There’s 130 steps up/down the marina but you can take a golf buggy if you need. Major doorways around the hotel are not level to the ground so you have to step over the door trim when leaving the restaurant/bar to outside which isn’t great when carrying a dinner plate or perhaps had a few.
There’s no entertainment programme and the spa treatments are very pricey. We ended up going to a local masseuse for a fraction of the cost, but I have heard the treatments are excellent if money isn’t an issue to you.
Would definitely stay here again as B&B as should you!
