Despite being just 2 people, we stayed in one of the large boats--two bedrooms, two bathrooms--and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The boat itself was impeccably clean and furnished with new, modern appliances and furnishings. There's an excellent kitchen for those who want to cook, and the boat's rooftop 'terrace' is a great place to relax. The provided water and welcome drinks in the fridge were a great touch. Communication before and during the stay was excellent, and written directions provided on everything (from parking to entry to departure and everything in between...) were clear and helpful. The Hausboat people also arranged a morning tour of Gibraltar for us, which was, again, extremely well organized and a lot of fun.

Absolutely loved the boathouse. It was clean, easy to access, had everything i needed and more. The host communication was superb 👌 contacted me before i arrived to make sure i had everything I needed. I had a question about the shower, the host responded very fast. I absolutely loved the easy communication with the host.

Outstanding place to stay and walk into Gibraltar. Come back to the boat and relax with the calmness of the marina, beautiful view of the Rock. Amenities are excellent on the boat. A real treat.

The location and views are excellent. Our boat was one of the Classics and was well appointed. They need to advertise that toilet paper is not allowed in the toilet in case that is an issue with anyone. The mattress needs to be replaced as we kept rolling to the middle during the night. But still a 4.5 star stay. Communication was very good with the host.

A fairly weather dependent option
Decided to try this unusual option. Positives: good comms from the owner - email with instructions and codes to get through the gate then enter the “boat/room”. The keypad on the door of the boat is not great as the buttons stick. It took 4 tries to get in. The boat is small and compact but well maintained. Alas for me I stayed on a windy night - the outside hammocks on all of the boats are a nice idea but they clattered against the boats all night making such a noise it was hard to sleep. The bed scores 4/10 comfort. Overall, sadly, for me, not worth the price. Would I stay again? Truth is had it been a lovely day, nice weather/then probably yes - being on the water and feeling the boat rock was very pleasant. The views of the Rock are great. But comfort level is pretty low. I’d be tempted to stay in summer but not in winter - that noise from outside banging of the hammocks was terrible.

One of a kind experience. The kids loved it.
A great experience. Easy self check in. Great location. Restaurants within 300m walk. Free bikes and helmets. We didn’t use the bikes. 5 min walk to Gibraltar border crossing. Again, a great experience.

My husband and I booked the awesome Royal Boat House. We absolutely loved the experience. This was our 2nd time visiting Gibraltar and the boat house is just minutes walking distance from the boarder. The design, the layout, location and the deck are all exceptional. Such a cool idea for a stay close to Gibraltar.

The views from the sundeck are amazing! This is a unique stay and the owners are very helpful and communicative about any quirks. The bikes to get into Gibraltar are such a great amenity.

I would highly recommend the Boat Haus , they are in a great location , just a 10 minte walk from the Gibraltar border and Airport . They all face the rock and boats and yachts to the back . They have everything you need and are very clean. I will definitely go back .

Fun and convenient stay
Great time on the houseboat! Communication was excellent and checking in and out were easy. Convenient laundry and restaurants nearby and we walked to the cable car in Gibraltar.

Amazing house boat.
What an absolute gem. We only stayed 1 night as our flight was cancelled from Gibraltar. After a very difficult day we were meet by amazing staff who couldn't do enough to help us and provide everything we needed. The house boat is amazing with everything a family of 6 needed. I wish we had stayed there for our holiday. We will definitely be going back for a longer stay.

The Boat Haus is so much fun and very relaxing. You can sit on upper deck to view the Rock of Gibraltar, which is a stone’s throw away. The Boat Haus was so well planned and done well there was everything you need to have a relaxing stay.

We had the best stay at the boat house! Everything was super clean and comfortable - and it feels like they’ve thought of literally everything you may need. They had an excellent guidebook, easy to get to, easy parking, and even free bikes to use to explore the area!

I spent two nights at the Boat House. I wanted to walk around the Rock of Gibraltar which was fantastic and staying in this amazing little house made my holiday even more of an experience. Barbara, the host was amazing, extremely helpful! Thanks! The turquoise house was mine, it had everything I needed, to prepare breakfast, of course I could have cooked dinner as well, although the fridge was very small. The bed was bit hard, but it wasn't a problem to sleep on. Good air conditioner, I actually used it for heating. The view from the roof terrace was impressive, there were also chairs, sunbeds and umbrellas. It's actually a boat, and it's really cool how it rocks on the waves. I loved being there!

I had an amazing time in my Boat Haus! Fabulous little getaway The views were amazing and I had some wonderful sunrises having breakfast on the roof terrace. I paid extra for continental breakfast and it was a huge basket of food, fruit, cheese and lots of coffee. I didn’t want to sleep on the main sofa bed as it had a plastic cover, but the single fold out bed was really comfortable. It was really peaceful, but also Netflix and a Bluetooth speaker for when needed. The shower was great, but just watch for water coming under the door. All this and only 15 minutes walk from the airport. I’d definitely stay again.

We absolutely loved our stay at Boathaus! We would recommend it to anyone staying in the area. It's an experience as well as lodging. Communication prior to check-in was great, accessed through WhatsApp and email. Check-in instructions and codes were easy. We had selected a superior houseboat and chose to have a breakfast basket delivered the second day. We should've had it the first and it was so generous it lasted a few meals. The hostess was helpful and friendly. Instructions on the use of the boat features are helpfully located inside. Free parking right at the entrance to the dock. Secure entrance. Incredible views of the Rock of Gibraltar. Easy to walk from Spain to the UK directly from the location. If you're an adventurous traveller, have experience staying in close quarters (we have a travel trailer and found it similar inside) and want to experience the charm, book here and enjoy!

It’s another level of experience, everyone should at least one time try to stay in these boat houses for a few nights and enjoy the view and beautiful scenery around the area. It’s something that should not missed. The picture shows all the beauty and it’s very accurate, once you grab your glass of wine and go on the roof of the boathouse you will feel the joy.

Gib revisited
First time staying on a houseboat but what a fantastic experience. Situated on the marina in La Linea it’s only a short walk to shops, pubs and restaurants on both Spain and Gibraltar so you get the best of both worlds. The only slight downside is due to it being a boat you cannot put paper or sanitary items down the loo (like Greece) but you soon adjust to this.We thoroughly enjoyed our four nights on the boat and looking to return next year
