This place promotes itself as a resort but it is nothing like a resort. It is a 1980’s roadside motel much more like. The place is in need of a major renovation, intensive cleaning and deferred maintenance taken care of. The AC for instance is just a noisy and tiny window unit framed into the wall which needed to run continuously to keep ahead of blistering temperatures. The bathroom fixtures were old and very outdated. Carpet Ed main room threadbare and not clean looking. The grounds need attention to landscaping and concrete patio of room is breaking apart with ree-bar exposed. A very young boat crowd takes up most of the two beaches and with the beaches being publicly accessible little room seems available to paying guests. The most serious disregard for paying guests is that the swimming pool was also available to non-paying public who were given free beach towels to boot. I have NEVER been to any type of resort where such things were allowed. We could not find any room at the crowded pool to use. I asked for a refund on the so called resort fee and was denied. To sum it up, I advise anyone planning a stay here to keep looking.
