Beautiful place
We have stayed in the Storm a few times now, we love it. We will definately return. We spent a lovely few relaxing days for Valentines,enjoyed delicious food and a nice bottle of wine with our Valentines meal.The room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. The staff are so lovely and helpful. Thank you so much for making us so welcome.

Quality and comfort at The Stork
Fabulous overnight stay at The Stork for our visit to Lancaster Uni. Easy to find and park, really friendly staff and lovely, quality decor/room amenities. Having already eaten before we arrived, we decided on drinks and desserts in the bar in the evening. Our chocolate brownies and caramel sundae were delicious. Breakfast service was again friendly, relaxed and the food very tasty- served in super-quick time too. All-in-all, we would thoroughly recommend. Just a shame we couldn't stay for longer. Thanks to all for making us feel so welcome!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel during a critical business trip for an interview, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I stepped in, the ambiance was welcoming and serene, perfect for calming my pre-interview nerves. The staff was the highlight of my stay. They were not just professional and efficient, but also incredibly warm and supportive, understanding the importance of my visit. Their attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile to ensure my comfort was truly commendable. My room was a haven of tranquility, immaculately clean, and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities, providing me with the ideal environment to prepare for my interview. A special mention must be made of the breakfast. It was nothing short of awesome! A vast array of options, each delicious and well-presented, provided the perfect start to my day. Overall, this hotel played a significant role in the success of my trip. It’s not just a place to stay; it’s an experience that contributes positively to the purpose of your visit. You will be delighted that you chose The Stork! Exceptionally clean, comfortable and peaceful, the rooms are packaged with everything you need. Included in the price is the wonderful breakfast that surprised us with delicious menu choices. Attentive and friendly staff completed the experience.

Lovely, dog friendly, rural hotel.
A lovely blend of traditional pub run by modern hotel chain. Very friendly and helpful staff and good pub menu. A generous breakfast menu. The hotel is not staffed over night, so we were given a comprehensive tour and safety brief. The hotel is particularly dog friendly. Dogs are allowed throughout, apart from the restaurant area; there was a doggy welcome pack in our room and they even have a dog bar menu!

Second time staying here - just as good as the first! Staff are all very friendly and helpful - I didn't bring a USB plug and was given one by the bar staff. NOTE: there are no USB sockets in the bedrooms. I had the same room as last visit - Room 7, which is cosy and compact but very comfortable. The shower particularly is fabulous. The bed was very comfortable and a dyson fan is supplied in case it gets hot. The TV in the room is HUGE! There is a Nespresso machine, a selection of teas and coffess and a couple of packs of biscuits. The bar staff kindly provided a jug of iced water on arrival and again at bedtime. Breakfast was superb! I had the Full English - 2 sausages, 2 rashers bacon, 2 fried eggs, mushrooms, grilled tomato & beans plus toast, tea/coffee and fruit juice. Also on offer were yoghurts, cereals and fruit. The choice of breakfast is great - from the full English to Eggs Benedict. I ate in the restaurant - I was sad to see that the menu was not as extensive or as exciting (to me) as the last time I visited. However, I had a very nice chicken burger with skin on fries. The chicken was tender and the BBQ sauce deliscious. The portion was so large that I did not have room for a dessert. The range of beers and ciders is excellent - I had a particularly good Sharps Solar Wave IPA. There is also a very good selection of gins - should that be your thing. The hotel itself is very quiet - even with the window open I had a peaceful sleep. I 100% recommend the Stork.

Yet another excellent stay at The Stork. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The room was excellent and had everything you could possibly need for a comfy relaxing overnight stay. The breakfast was fantastic with an excellent choice of options and is cooked freshly to order. We’ll definitely return! Well done to all the staff as they are doing a fab job to create such a welcoming atmosphere!

Lovely rural pub with very comfortable room. Very friendly and attentive staff. Dinner was excellent and great value for money. Breakfast was lovely, very fresh. Our only slight minor point was that it was quite dusty on bookshelves and window sills in the pub. Also dusty in certain areas in the bedroom - other than that it was fantastic.

Although the Stork Hotel is 6 miles outside of Lancaster, there is a bus service and a taxi didn't cost too much. The hotel has recently been refurbished and everything was more or less brand new. The staff were lovely and so was our room. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back if we ever visit Lancaster again.

Really lovely hotel. Though quite small my room was decorated and presented beautifully. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. Massive television at the bottom of the bed. Nespresso coffee machine was a lovely surprise. The bathroom was most luxurious with a huge walk in shower. Towels were large and soft. The supplied hairdryer was a cut above the average too. I ate at The restaurant downstairs in the evening. The food was slightly better than average - I had the lamb shanks which tasted lovely and were melt in the mouth tender but not quite hot enough and not enough gravy. Breakfast was super and absolutely huge. The young lady at the bar showed me to my room and was also on duty at breakfast - I absolutely couldn't fault her: cheerful and friendly as well as helpful. I will return to The Stork whenever I visit my son at Lancaster Uni from now on (I usually stay at the Holiday Inn, but this hotel is so much nicer in every way).

Our fourth stay here as it is so handy to visit our two sons in Lancaster university. It’s in a fantastic picturesque location which is very close to Lancaster but gives you an alternative to staying in the city. It’s a perfect location for a relaxing break. The room again had everything we could possibly need and was really cosy, modern and the bed was so comfortable. The staff are super friendly and helpful and we both thoroughly enjoyed our freshly cooked breakfast. We’ll definitely return and would highly recommend it!

Lovely place to stay
We have just returned from our very first stay at this lovely place. The room was spotless thanks to Tina, everywhere was so clean and tidy. The room was very nice and the bed very comfortable. The shower was ultra powerful and spotless along with the whole bathroom. We ate both night at the hotel restaurant, we had two delicious meals. We were well looked after by all of the staff, I would like to thank Jen, Eleanor and Leah and the young lad, but didn't get his name. We will definitely return. Thanks again
