"Nice hotel, friendly staff. Check-in was a little awkward, supposedly automated, but confusing. It was ok. Ice view of the downtown part, close to everything."

"We enjoyed our stay at the Ambience Hotel Freieck. Located in Chur’s Old Town, it occupies a beautiful 16th-century building with a well-done blend of historic architecture and modern convenances. The rooms are bright and contemporary with nice beds and good Internet. The breakfast in the morning is very nice and the staff is friendly and helpful offering excellent suggestions for dinner. They gave us a Guest Card Chur (Gastekarte Chur) for discounts and free admission for attractions."

"Loved this charming property. For the mobility impaired: there are some serious stairs but the kindly staff will store anything you don’t need if you don’t want to lug it to your room. We also greatly enjoyed dinner in the restaurant."

"Best things about this hotel were: 1. The pool & spa area (steam room, sauna); 2. The outdoor hot tub; 3. The included breakfast; 4. The big rabbits in the playground/trampoline area outside. Not to mention the absolutely beautiful landscape, with loads of hiking trails. The hotel is right next to the Sareis chairlift, although we visited out of season (May) so it wasn't working. Friendly and helpful staff, lovely restaurant/bar with shockingly expensive prices as is the Liechtensteiner (and Swiss) way. We loved it."

"Very clean, quiet and comfortable hotel within an easy walk from train station with lots of restaurants and shops surrounding. Friendly, helpful staff and a nice breakfast was included in our booking. Our superior room had an oven and cooktop, but these are not allowed to be used. Fridge was Handy."

"Great place to stay. The girl at the front desk was welcoming and very helpful. The parking was a public garage right down the street. The location was very convenient! Huge room but small bathroom. Would stay here again! "

Such a lovely young lady with a great personality. Very good breakfast with lots of choice overseen by more lovely staff. Highly recommend staying here for the wonderful ambiance. "
