Great location just by the castle and close to the Alfama. Hotel was exactly as it appeared in listing. Staff very helpful. Breakfast very good.

Such a unique area and property. The staff were very friendly and helpful with suggestions to best enjoy the experience. The breakfast was amazing. We used the shuttle they arranged and he was spectacular. This is a cultural masterpiece with so much history and flavor. It is not a 5 star luxury experience, it is a beautiful look at at a neighborhood and district you will remember for years. If you expect luxury, go to a 4 Seasons or equivalent. If you want a beautiful setting surrounded by rough edges and a real neighborhood with real people, this is the experience for you. We loved it!

The staff were friendly and accommodating. If your driving a car it is not the easiest place to get to. Property is quiet dated but clean.

Great hotel on the edge of Alfama. Easy to walk to restaurants, overlooks, castle. We had a wonderful view over rooftops (Baixa?). Would definitely stay here again. Great staff and breakfast. Don't try to drive here!

We stayed for four nights. We found the room clean and spacious, and great breakfast buffet. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Hotel is located on top of a hill with great views, but walking up the hill could pose a problem for people with mobility issues. Overall a nice and classy hotel. Jane
