This property is beyond tired , and is quite shabby in parts . The receptionist on check in was rude and entirely disinterested . The man on when I checked out was however very friendly The breakfast was good and worth paying to have . But despite its wonderful location , even the fair room price would not bring me back sadly

Don't book a twin room if you're a big bloke because the beds are tiny. We paid extra to go into a family room after the first night but in both rooms I never managed to find the one floorboard which didn't creak. It would be a lovely place if it had an upgrade. The staff were excellent and very friendly but the hotel is a bit run down compared to the ones around it.

Booked a weekend break here and had an evening meal here, we where told that the chef was a 'one man band' and to expect a short delay, however it took close to 2 hours for a 2 course meal, we were advised as 'all the hot meals where being served first' there would be a further delay, finally when the puddings arrived, one was burnt, so definitely not the best. Breakfast on Saturday morning was just as chaotic, guests arriving and being 'chased' for room numbers through the dining room, Sunday was a little bit more organised, the young lady taking toom numbers was rude and 'barked' 'room number' rather then greeting guests with a 'good morning, room number please' which would have been a more pleasant greeting.

Absolutely shocking! The rooms we were offered where in such poor state, either the curtains were hanging off or ripped, one room even had tiles bulging off the bathroom wall, window was blown and mold inside the glazing, bathrooms were old and dated, room was dirty saw long dark hair in the bath and on the bed, there was a big clump of dark hair on the carpet, the window was single glazed and was cracked, only 3 course meals offered and only a choice of 3 varieties of mains, the lift was tiny and felt very unsafe, I felt sorry for the reception staff having to deal with complaints every time we walked past, the bar and restaurant areas for breakfast looked very nice though, think they could do with the hotel inspector from the Tv there, this hotel has something like 103 rooms and no one was dining there in the evening so somethings not right.

Hotel was cold and draughty. Not told unable to get food due to no chef few. visitors staying in hotel, n ow we know why breakfast was limited as most items run out and all was cool. asked why room had not been cleaned and told should ask. Jumped ship on Monday and will not return again

The staff were amazing and super polite and helpful, the room was nothing like the photos that I saw tho I was expecting a lot nicer, the pictures were beautiful on the website but when we got there we were quite disappointed as it was nothing like what we saw in the pictures that we saw. The place was quite scary it looked like a haunted house well that’s how we described it. Overall we had an amazing time for our anniversary but we were disappointed in the room.

Staff were lovely and very helpful. The property looks a bit shabby, but the staff and cleanliness certainly made up for this. Evening entertainment would've made our stay more enjoyable and also helped the economy of the hotel.

Stay was ok, but there were certain things that made it worse. We paid for a superior twin room but although there was a lot of space I wouldn’t have actually calls it a superior one. The window was broken so it was at a jar all the time. Floor was very dusty in places. The towel rail was too far away from washing facilities, you would drop water all over the floor and toilet rolls were in an awkward place to be able to reach them whilst on the toilet ( these were behind you as you sat on the toilet). Staff very friendly however and I’d stay there again as im sure that other rooms may be better.

Nice hotel, parking is a pain
Arriving at the hotel we were greeted by a wonderful young lady, who talked us through our stay. Our disappointment at there actually being no on site parking and it being find a place in the street which is unrestricted over shadowed our initial check in. The room was a good size and clean, the bathroom required a touch of TLC but otherwise was acceptable. The hotel is about a 30 minute stroll from the pier or centre of town, which was ideal for us. The on-site bar offered a good range of drinks at a reasonable price. We’d be happy to stay again, the only thing that puts us off is that dreaded parking
