“our london hide-away”
i as a smoker appreciate the outside setting that accomadates us smokers and the politeness and help from the door staff and all the staff. i think the number off times my wife and myself have stayed tells the story.
“short but nice visit”
Very nice location. Close to an underground station. Had the full English breakfast there one morning and it was very nice.
“Excelent Hotel!”
Great Hotel, clean rooms, great location. A block away from an Underground Station. The breakfast at the hotel was very good, better than any continental breakfast buffet, but also not with much variety. Enough to get through the day without starving to death at Lunch. Also was not so cheap but we got coupons from the kind receptionist and got like 5 pounds off for each person (10 pounds each with the discount). The receptionists were very kind and helpful, but the waiters at the bar were not! We had some drinks in the bar and got a crappy service from the waiters (bartender was nice). Had to get up myself to ask for the check because when I would ask the waiter, he would get upset and demand that I wait for a second because he was busy with someone else. Very rude. Besides that, I think we got a great deal for a great hotel.. Definately would recommend this hotel. I would go back any time.
“Great place for anyone”
We followed the reviews from other travelers when we chose this hotel and weren't disappointed. The outside of the building is nothing to see, so don't be alarmed when you come around the corner, but the inside is lovely. We arrived early, around 9:30 a.m., and they had a room ready for us which was great after a long flight from the States. The staff was very friendly, and the room was quite large for Europe and very clean including a terrific shower with lots of water pressure and hot water. Our room was on the back over the train tracks, but we never heard a sound. Must have really well insulated windows. The money exchange in the lobby has a competitive rate with no commission or handling fees, so we changed all our money there. The tube stop on the corner was also very convenient. This a great place, and we would definitely stay there again.
“Very Impressed and Very Pleased”
This is a great place to stay. Excellent value for the price. Excellent location in Kensington, close to the tube and several excellent restaurants. Soprano's is a must, pizza and pasta are excellent. Hotel rooms are large by European standards and facility is very well kept. I would definately stay there again. Even has elevators, 6 of them and a small refrigerator in the room which was great! Highly recommend this hotel.

We had a great stay. close to everything, easy to get around. couldnt even hear the tube out the window. concergie wasnt very friendly. thai restaurant down the street was great.
“Very comfortable stay”
Great location - everything you could possibly need can be found right around the corner on Kensington High Street, plus very convenient for underground and buses and only a short taxi ride into town. Numerous dining choices very close to the hotel. Rooms very spacious for the price for London. A very comfortable stay.
“Copthorne Tara - Kensington, London”
Hotel was very well located - 5 minute walk to Kensington High Street Tube. Hotel personnel were very friendly and extremely helpful. Didn't eat at hotel due to price but cafe was good - sandwiches, sodas, coffee, etc. Would definitely stay there again.
“Wonderful choice.”
Located in a lovely residential area of Kensington, the hotel is modern with spacious rooms attractively furnished and very comfortable beds. Excellent service, good restaurants and pub and immaculate throughout. And it's only a two block walk from the Kensington High tube station.
“Excellent Experience”
We found the hotel to be close to the Tube (High Street Kensington-Circle/District lines), clean, friendly, and quiet. We upgraded to a club room and the money was well worth it because we received complimentary breakfast, free drinks in the evening, access to the gym and free access to internet. It was in a good area of London and there were several restaurants and shops close by. We will stay there again on our next trip to London.
