Good Location
Proximity to Victoria Station is very convenient. Very friendly, helpful front desk. Room was larger than most single rooms I've had in the city. It was right by the elevator and so I could hear noisy people coming/going late at night. Breakfast was limited but otherwise just fine. All I did was sleep there so it was definitely fine for that.

Lovely, modernised hotel with good transport links
This was the (almost) perfect place to stay and we'll definitely be back. We were upgraded to a triple room as we had requested a quiet room. The room was modern, clean and comfortable (and quite spacious for a London hotel) and breakfast the next morning was plentiful and set us up for the day. The hotel is only a short walk from both Pimlico and Victoria stations. All of the staff we met were friendly and welcoming. I just have one small grumble - there was only just enough milk in the tiny containers to have one cup of coffee each on arrival, leaving nothing for a morning cuppa. On asking at late-night reception for more, I was told they were only 'supposed to give out four'. Not enough for two morning cuppas! He did then splash out and rustle up six, so that was good :-). Also, a couple of little packs of biscuits for arrival would have been nice. Overall, we were very happy and would recommend the Sidney Hotel.

Nice location - walking distance to Victoria Station, and plenty of restaurants nearby. The hotel was clean and the bar area was cozy. However the room was tiny - had the feel of a dorm room...but smaller. It's also a bit noisy, as you can hear all the activity in the hallways and continual slamming doors. This hotel is rated 3-stars, but I'm not sure why. It seems more like a 2-star to me.

If it wasn’t for the night staff I would say it’s a good hotel. Guess if you stay here you can’t stay out past 1am. Got back after a night on the town to meet a locked door and had to knock as though I was asking for a favor and didn’t pay to stay there. Horrible night staff, imagine paying money to stay somewhere and having to wait outside in the cold until it pleases the staff to let you in.

This hotel pleasantly exceeded our expectations. It was a bit of a stroll from Victoria or Pimlico - but not very far. The staff were friendly and the room was larger than expected (we were given a family room when there was only 2 of us). It was furnished in a modern updated way and was SPOTLESSLY clean - well done housekeeping! New carpets and no scratched and dented fittings like you sometimes get in a 3*. Really nice. The bed wasn't huge (standard double and not a king?) but it was comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was very basic but did its job - some cereal, toast (although everybody was always waiting for toast! Buy another toaster!), juice, some tinned fruit salad and some yoghurt, some hot drinks. Basic but fine. It was all we needed to get us going. Served in a pleasant area with nice staff. It was great to be able to leave luggage at the hotel to mooch around the nearby Tate on our final day. All in all, it wasn't fancy but it was really comfortable and sparkling clean and I would definitely recommend it as a good base.

Two double beds in the room, good size for London. Room 101 is on street level on the corner by traffic lights so was noisy. Bathroom tiny but had all needed. Breakfast was included but was poor.

The rooms were small but adequate. However the location was spectacular! I spent every day walking to all the places on my bucket list. While getting to locations, I took in the ambiance of London, the very heart and spirit of the place. And I loved it! I’ll be back and I’ll stay at the Sidney Hotel.

Excellent on a budget
This hotel has comfortable, affordable rooms that were kept clean throughout my stay. I was on the first floor and could hear the lobby music quite loudly in my room, though this is turned off later at night until around 7am. Only one member of staff was seating people at breakfast and they were also responsible for clearing away used dishes after people left. This meant that some mornings it took a little bit of time to be sat down. Once sat down options were very limited, but who can complain about a free breakfast really? Rooms are small but I found it wasn't overly so. I had space to store everything and wasn't bumping into things constantly. Overall it's an excellent hotel for those on a budget.

Used this hotel on a number of visits to London,close to all the main attractions and underground is not far away. Rooms have been refurbished to a excellent standard. Breakfast is continental with a good selection to choose from. Bus stops right outside of hotel but is in walking distance to a lot of the main attractions. Always felt safe when travelling back to the hotel at night.

Hotel near the city center
We stayed there 4 nites after a 12 nites British Isles cruise. We were given a twin room in the ground floor in the first nite. It was no ventilation and the window is not safe. The shower floor was very slippery. For our own safety, we bought one from a store in the Victoria Terminal. Next day morning, we requested room change and moved to a smaller room in the 3rd floor. Everything was fine except the shower is very high and a very high between the shower and the floor.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights on our first visit to London. We loved the location in regards to the activities and sights we wanted to see. The room was clean and comfortable and of an average size you would expect a European hotel room to be. It is a short walk to Victoria station, less than 10 minutes at an average pace. There is a bus stop right outside that has buses frequently stopping at that'll take you to Victoria station and further north if you don't want to walk. The staff were very helpful and the luggage storage service was really convenient (excellent that there is someone at concierge 24/7). Breakfast was good but nothing spectacular - croissants, toast, spreads, yoghurt, cereals, juices, coffee and tea. Would we return and recommend to family and friends? Definitely!

Stayed here for two nights in mid April 2018.Great location, about 15 minute walk to Victoria Train station. Since I was travelling on my own I booked a basic single room with one twin bed. While the room was small, it was perfectly fine for one person. Everything was very clean & the washroom, while small was very modern looking and appeared to have been renovated recently. The shower worked well with lots of water pressure! However, the shower was a bit tight and did not have a shelf or anywhere to put the shampoo or soap bottles – except for the shower floor. I am not a large person but it was a bit difficult even for me to bend down to pick them up because of the small size of the shower. The two main complaints I have is the wifi was VERY slow the 2 days I was there & there was no in-room safe. I normally do not book rooms that do not have a safe, but I guess I did not realize when I booked the room. I tested the wifi using Speedtest - showed consistent download speeds of 0.32 Mbps & upload speeds of 0.2 Mbps. It was unusable anytime I tried it. The included breakfast was ok, not great, a self serve buffet with mostly carbohydrates but they had fruit salad which was ok, so fine for a quick bite. If you don’t care about having usable wifi or a safe in the room, this is a very nice clean, reasonably priced hotel in a great location.

GOOD LOCATION NICELY REFURBISHED HOTEL
Was very between pleasantly surprised. Hotel has been refurbished and is looking good. Room was cool as the radiator was turned down. No problem as soon as you turned them up they warmed the room . Bathroom smaller but everything was nice and clean The room had two double beds with plenty of space to walk around. The beds had a sheet, blanket and top cover which we found better than a Duvet which we find too warm in some hotels This meant that both my husband and myself had a good nights sleep without waking up hot. Breakfast was continental cereal/crossiants/toast/jam yoghurt/fruit/tea/coffee Will use this hotel again for its location to victoria station and pimlico station Glad I found it

Enjoyable stay and great result!
The hotel is undergoing renovation but this didn't impact on our weekend stay. We had booked a triple room which had been refurbished recently. The room was of adequate size for three adults, but the ensuite was quite small. Staff were pleasant and helpful and the hotel was an easy 5/10 minute walk from Victoria Station. Breakfast, which consisted of cereal, toast and croissants with juices, tea and coffee, was good. It is served until 0930. The restaurant room was quite small for the size of the hotel, so be prepared for a short wait if you opt to take breakfast after 9am. Overall an enjoyable stay and reasonable value for money for this part of London.

Great location, friendly staff and reasonably priced (for London). Room was reasonably sized with a small bathroom. Pretty much everything we needed for a short stay. Everything was clean and the breakfast whilst fairly basic did the job. 20 mins walk to Westminster 10 to Victoria and not far from Buckingham Palace.

The reception experience was a nightmare . They where adamant that I needed a hard copy vaucher to check in . I showed them my confirmation email but they where still not happy. I rang hotel.com after a lot of debate they accepted an email comfermation from hotel.com in my opinion they had me logged in on their system and they should have been able to get all the info they needed from the booking details. The hotel was nice,clean and continental breakfast was very good

Very good Hotel with easy walking/Bus to Victoria
Very comfortable Hotel that was very clean and pleasing on arrival. Our room was very nice and comfortable and tastefully decorated. Breakfast was very basic but you could have plenty more if you wanted it and the staff were very pleasant and efficient. I would certainly stay there again when next in London.
