My husband and I stayed here for our first time in Europe from the States, and everything was awesome! The metro was a 5 min walk from the hotel. The staff were super friendly, and the food at the pub was AWESOME. The room we had looked over the cute neighborhood and the bathroom was very nice and clean and the bed was super comfortable! If we go back to London, we are going to stay here again!

Not bad not perfect.
My stay at The Tommyfield was short and sweet. My partner and I are a young couple and stayed here just one night in Kennington. We liked the modern design of our room and loved the bathroom and all the facilities included within the room. You could tell the rooms were somewhat newly decorated as they had a nice clean/tidy look. Check in was fine, we felt somewhat welcomed and check out was easy; we were greeted with a kind farewell. My only complaints were it was fairly noisy outside in the early morning, breakfast is not offered/severed in the weekdays, the air-conditioning unit is a little noisy, the bathroom window did not open and there were some minor cosmetic amendments needed to the ceiling in the bathroom. Would I stay again? Maybe but I’m not raving about it.

We were visting london to attend a comic con. Hector was amazing at making sure we had our key as we were not sure if we would be back in time for last check in. Hector was so understanding and helpful in making sure our bags were safe and we knew everything about the room. We had breakfast in the morning, I didn't catch the ladies name who served us but she was just as lovely. Overall an amazing stay and I'd definitely return

We loved our stay at the Tommyfield! It was extremely clean, exactly as pictured, and a few short blocks from a tube station. It was also a manageable walking distance (2km) to Big Ben and all the other touristy sites. The food at the pub below our room was amazing, and we had no issue with any noise coming up from it. Teresa was lovely and always available to answer all of our questions. The only con was the climb up the stairs to our room. Otherwise no complaints! Would definitely stay here again!

Excellent Hotel and Pub
Wod highly recommend this Hotel. Slightly quirky in a good way. Close to all transport to get to central London.The staff were more than helpful, Food was good and excellent Beer. There was even fresh milk in the room fridge Cafe303 30 seconds walk away for a good breakfast with excellent Coffee Pub give 30% off prices if you eat in. This is of of the best stays I have had in this area of London

Spacious room, friendly staff, fairly easy check-in and check-out. Quirkly room (we were in room 4) with the shower and sink in the room (but a separate WC) with a door, thankfully). Rather hot in the room that particular evening and doesn't appear there is a way to control the heating in the room so we opened the window. The 1/3 discount in the pub on food came in handy.

We loved eveything about The Tommyfield! The staff are lovely. The food is delicious. It's in a relatively quiet neighbourhood but very close to a tube station and walking distance to Southbank. We will be back!

Good location and great value
The location was perfect and it's in a good area. Just 10 Minutes from Kennington Tube and a 20 minute walk to the river. The rooms are over the bar and restaurant, we had 3 excellent meals and they have a very well stocked bar. Beds are super comfortable and the rooms clean and well furnished. The staff really did look after us nothing was to much trouble. Residents also get a good discount off meals. We explored during the day and stayed local in the evening. For us the location was perfect and it offers very good value for money. We really enjoyed our stay and we will be back.

A great little hotel.
This was an excellent stay. little extra touches like a fridge with a pint of milk, juices and fruit and a coffee making machine, plus all the other things you are used to in a hotel - hairdryers, big white towels and a very nice landlady who saw me into the room!

Super service and friendly welcome
As always the Tommyfield gave a warm welcome and we also had the benefit of being able to eat in and enjoyed the excellent discount available if you are staying over. Added to that we had a problem with the in room safe (I didn't manage to program the code properly) and one of the team Yvonne came to our rescue and went above and beyond the call of duty to sort out or problem.

The entire experience was bad. From waiting outside for 3 hours because the hotel wasnt even open untill 11am, anx we realize cjech in isnt until 3, bit to.not even be able to drop our bags or talk to someone was rediculous. There is no concierge. You check in at the bar. One of the staff that was "helping" us was a waitress, and when we came back to eat was so incompetent she didnt even know what they served at her own establishment. Their breakfast, if you can call it that, was an expired oatmeal, a banana and an apple. Never again.. the only nice thing was the bathroom

Have stayed here before so knew what to expect but first time with someone else. Room 3: excellent bed, usual refreshment, porridge, fruit and decent coffee machine all of which are appreciated. TV quite small but appreciate this is a room above a pub not a hotel as such. Some evidence of tiredness in the bathroom. Right hand sink plug hole broken, tap needed fairly strong pressure to stop the strange noise emitting out of it when turned on. Shower nice and hot and towels clean and fluffy. A few black marks on the pillowcases but nothing that seemed sinister. Staying again in July and would continue to do so. Friendly cute bar staff, and great food, especially with the 50% discount offered to residents.

A little gem - with onsite comedy.
A little gem with modern, comfortable rooms and tasty, (discounted for residents) food in the pub below. Don't be put off by the entry and trudge up the stairs. In room breakfast was surprisingly good, with fresh fruit too. And they even had a comedy night on when I stayed.... sadly that was sold out so you might want to book that in advance. It did get very busy in the pub, so the wait for a table was the only down side.

Warm welcome in Kennington
This is a proper pub with good food and really attractive rooms. The decor is excellent and the quality of the beds/bedding and bathrooms was of a high standard. There is on street parking nearby available at weekends only or at limited times on week days. Staff are friendly and welcoming and if you eat in you get a really good discount on your food bill. There are quite steep stairs and no lift so if you have mobility difficulty it may not be a suitable choice. You should also note that it is in a busy (24 hour) location and although there is a double glazing if you are looking for peace and quiet it my not suit you. If you want a warm welcome and good hospitality and a non corporate environment then you will love it.

Weeks honeymoon stay
Great spot for us to spend the week on our honeymoon. The neighbourhood is amazing with easy access to transit and still walkable to many top attractions. The staff and the hotel itself was great. Would recommend it hands down to everyone we know. 11/10
