Towel was dirty and had a stain on it we got a free breakfast and when we went down to retrieve it the waitress was extremely rude.

Good location, large room so plenty of space. Basic facilities in the room, no iron, or hair dryer. Shower gets all the floor wet so could improve there. Left the sign out that says to top up coffee etc but that didn’t happen so had to go get more towels, coffee, toilet roll ourselves.

Whilst the actual hotel is OK for a couple of nights (bar the air-con not working in first room) the staff are just hopeless. I don't think there was one staff member over the age of 25. It was a case of 'who cares' attitude. Travelodge need to bring in experienced staff who actually give a damn and know how to run such a facility. Only way to do this is to bring in more mature staff.

The room hadn't been vaccumed, so the carpet was quite grubby. There was hair in the shower and what looked like toothpaste on the floor. Two of the pillow cases were moldy, i told reception, but there wasn't much they could do at 10 pm.

Passable for one night
The shower was crazy as the water goes to the toilet area. Beddings smell bad. Noisy bed and very cold room that during the night I went to the front desk and ask for heater. For internet you have to pay, hair dryer you need to ask front desk. Toilet paper not enough and I ask for one extra. I dont recommand this place to couples.

Situated adjacent to several railway lines, be prepared to take your ear-plugs if you are a light sleeper and have a room on the railway side. The double glazing is really good, but doesn't quite keep out the sound of the trains. We had one of those rooms, and the upside was a superb view of the The Shard. The room was spacious, clean, and there was a bath, rather than just a shower. The receptionist was most helpful, allowing us to check in early. Recommended for comfort and it's position close to Southwark Tube station.

Great location, lovely staff, large comfortable room. Only 30 minutes of free wifi, but that didn’t bother me. Didn’t try the breakfast, which was extra. Would stay there again!

NEVER EVER USE TRAVELODGE AGAIN
Despite contracting Covid, and being in isolation…Travelodge REFUSED to refund me for this booking. They took my £315. Wouldn’t even allow me to change the dates. I’ll NEVER use them again.

Overpriced. Staff at reception were rude and bar service was non-existent or very slow. The stairwell smelt like sick and the room was very basic. The bathroom towels smelt dirty. Very disappointing for the money spent.

Room was basic but clean. Great breakfast butvthe best thing was the reception staff. Helpful, happy to shat and very accommodating. Dont recall the ladies name who checked us in, spanish i believe, but really helpful.

Great friendly staff at check in! Very Clean rooms and comfortable beds! I have no complaints! The area was also surrounded by tons of restaurants and the Tube station is less then a block away to get to major attractions. I would stay here again!

Basic Hotel in Southwark
have stayed here multiple times. I like staying in Southwark and it is affordable. Desk staff were helpful and booked with a breakfast. Many choices for breakfast. Rooms are large and thick windows keep out noise from neighborhood. Hallways also quiet. Overall good value for the money. On this visit, the room was poorly cleaned prior to my occupancy.

Pros: Great location for the price, clean, and amazing staff. Con: minor issue with sound of the door opening and closing; door at the barrier between the elevator bay and main floor. I didn’t spend much time in the room and the noise was at a minimum at night.

Don't recommend it at all. Read below.
Reserved it for my London vacation trip but there was a family emergency. All hotels in London(Point A Hotel) and Paris(Les Luxemburg) were happy to move my date even though they were a non refundable purchase. This hotel wanted me to send a medical copy of the issue, doctor note etc. Ya sure, let me also send social security, what else? 1. Takes customer as if they are going to scam them while on a family emergency. 2. Called the customer service and it's a TOLL call that charges you 25 cent per minute from United States plus international call charge. I do not recommend staying in a hotel that does not trust their customer. There is no "GOOD FAITH" business here.

Disappointed.
I arrived two hours before checking and I was charged 10 pounds just for it. This room was really cold and had no heater. How could this be possible in London? I was told this hotel had wifi when I booked it and when I got to the hotel, they wanted to charge me 3 pounds.

Good location, modest price
Convenient location half a block from Tube. Good sized room, but only 2 power points a long way from mirrors. Tea & coffee making facilities in room, but cups weren't clean. Had to ask for shower drain to be cleaned. Staff polite and helpful, reasonable breakfast.

Short travel - quick stay

Great location, very clean
Stayed in business floor, and it was very quiet. Nice view looking north over railway. Surprisingly quiet, but here was a loud fan in the bathroom hat provided white noise, which must have helped. Great location for Tate Modern and National Theatre. Very large buffet breakfast was included in the room rate I got through Expedia. Very goood value for London. I would stay here for a few nights but not a week or a long stay.

Very close to train stations and tourist spots!
It was an excellent stay overall. Easy check in, very modern and clean room. The bed is comfy. This hotel is very close to a convenient store, restaurants, train stations, and major tourist spots. A nice breakfast is just an icing to the cake. The only problem I encountered is that I have to pay 3 euros for a 24-h wifi access; they only provide free 30-min internet access.

Wonderful Hotel
Travelodge London Central Southwark is centrally located to visit the historic sites of London. It is close to the London tubes so it is very convenient to travel to other locations in London. If you prefer walking, it is within walking distances to Tate Modern, London Eye, Saint Paul's Cathedral, Westminster Abbey as well as the famous Borough's market. The hotel staff are friendly and the hotel facility is clean. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

Great Option in Southwark
Nice hotel in good location for South Bank and Southwark. Room is large by European standards and the hotel was quiet. Hotel is located 1 block from the Southwark tube station. Reception is on the 1st floor and all floors require key code access for safety. Staff were helpful with recommendations. A small market is next door for snacks and the area is full of restaurants, pubs and bars including a Gordon Ramsey restaurant one block away. Good value for the money the weekend I booked for London.

Room 510 was cold, the air conditioner didn't heat it properly. Had my coat over the duvet to keep warm at night. No plug socket near the bed, all the way over at the desk and only two of them in the room. Tap water smelled dirty. Black dirt coming from the air conditioner onto the bed. Breakfast was ok but not great - buffet was quite cold. Cleanliness generally was average at best. Staff and check in very good. No WIFI unless you pay extra. Poor value overall, lots of better two star hotels in London
