I checked in at 5:30pm only to find the room already occupied, even though I had made reservations weeks earlier. The front desk was confused, told me there were no other rooms, and refused to call the manager she had just been speaking to. The manager supposedly issued a refund which has yet to appear 5 business days later. My 2 young kids and I were left stranded after a 7 hr drive, and ended up paying more than double at a nearby hotel.
I finally spoke w/the manager who told me it was Expedia's fault for double booking so I called Expedia who's agent said the availabilty data comes straight from the hotel. I was promptly refunded and given extra onekey cash to help pay for the higher cost of the replacement hotel, which I was trying to get the Lincoln Inn to do. The Inn offered instead to comp me a room if they weren't close to being full at some point in the future. I have yet to get that agreement in writing.
As far as the facilities, the room seemed spacious for the brief moment I got a peek at one. There were people outside the entrance to the hotel rooms who seemed to be living there long-term. The area is pretty congested with traffic and not that appealing, but otherwise doesn't appear to be dangerous.
