Quaint Apartment a Block from the Beach
I stayed at Elizabeth’s upstairs apartment with my husband and 5yo twins. Street parking was always available and the beach/pier was a short walk. We cooked in the kitchen and did laundry in the space provided. We used the beach toys, beach mats and umbrella. We opted to rent bikes as we wanted tandem bikes for our children which was an easy walk from the apartment, but beach bikes and helmets were available. Our kids had fun at the Tongva Park which is also a short walk away. Thank you Elizabeth!!

Great location
The Beach House was a great stay for us in Santa Monica. A fully equipped kitchen is perfect for short stays. Property was clean, private, and within 500m of the famous Santa Monica beach. Property owner was completely accessible but did not infringe. Would definitely recommend and may use again!

Perfect Spot
My husband and I did a long weekend trip in this great cottage. The host was so friendly and questions were answered promptly. The house was very clean and in a great spot in Santa Monica. It is one block to the beach and near many restaurants and stores within walking distance. Looking forward to staying there again. Great house!

Very good location.
This house boasts an amazing location, just a stone’s throw from the beach and a quick 5-minute stroll to the pier. The two parking spots were a great plus, and the friendly house owner made our week there even more enjoyable. Thanks a lot!

A fun 2nd story beach cottage
We liked everything about this apartment except that there was no full sized fridge, only a bar fridge. This was an inconvenience for us as we like to cook dinner a lot. The owner lives on the property and she is lovely: helpful; friendly; enthusiastic; and knowledgeable about the area. It is walking distance to the beach.

Absolutely AMAZING
We had the best time! Our host was absolutely the sweetest! She even gave me a piece of homemade pumpkin pie for my birthday! Her place is perfect for a beach getaway! We were able to walk to everything! We will definitely be staying here again!

Such a Perfect Spot
This little behind a house apartment is in a perfect location to enjoy Santa Monica Beach and Pier. Literally just one block from the beach. It is a perfect size for just a couple or a small family. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Perfect location
Steps from the beach, a short walk to Santa Monica pier and so many restaurants within walking distance. We walked everywhere and loved the beach walking paths, especially early mornings. Patio is large and perfect for when family came by. Highly recommend.

Nice apartment. As advertised. The managers are very responsive and easy to work with. No AC in the living areas. AC in bedroom. Very close to beach and nice restaurants. Parking was not a problem as two passes were provided.

Awesome Beach home
Our stay was great. All the amenities of home. Beach is super close. Quiet street nestled in the downtown core. Close to all activities. Home was a home away from home spacious and roomy. Great communication with host.

Charming beach property
We stayed 3 nights after a cross country drive. Our son was with us the first night and was very comfortable on the day bed in the living room. We enjoyed a nice walk to the pier and into downtown for supper. It was so convenient to keep the car parked at the house and walk 5 minutes down the block to the beach.

Perfect Santa Monica getaway!
Drove down from the Bay Area where the weather has stubbornly resisted committing to spring. Had a fantastic few days here in this adorable pied-a-terre! Terrific location 1/2 block from the beach. Easy walk to Main Street, the Pier, great restaurants and shopping. My favorite thing, though, was the abundant jasmine in full bloom at the entry gate. Such an amazing welcome every time I returned from an outing!! I absolutely plan to stay again!! Thank you!

A Gem on the Santa Monica Beach
All I can say is "Wow!" This place was perfect! We were in town for a graduation and we wanted a not-too-expensive place that was close to the beach, that would allow us to have a few friends over for celebration, and would let us bring our beloved dog. This wonderfully appointed, immaculately clean, and just one block from the beach home met and exceeded all our expectations. The home is not huge -- "cozy" -- but was perfect for my wife and me. We had another family join us for dinner and the patio area was great for entertaining. Comfortable seating, good gas grill, and a gas heater. Both the grill and the heater had full tanks of gas and the electric ignition worked perfectly!

Overall location is very good aside from steep stairs to go to the apartment which is tricky with heavy luggages. Host is very responsive for communication. There is no dishwasher (not fully equipped kitchen), pots and pans looks very old. Dishwashing sponge was old. There were only few towels for family of 4 with 5 days of stay. There are heavily used (less than 0.5 inch remaining) candles in the rooms, unclear even why they were there. There were also some other person’s yoga cloths on the floor by the bed so unclear if room was cleaned and checked after previous person’s stay.

Lovely Cottage Steps to Santa Monica Beach
This is a cute little cabin, tucked in right behind Shutters with walking access to everything in Santa Monica. Pet friendly. Second floor location, so one feels safe leaving windows open for the sea breeze. Note that there are some fairly steep steps, so probably not for the infirm, but otherwise great stay for the value/location. Very clean.

This is an amazing property. Extremely clean, manicured, and picturesque. Also steps from the beach and Santa Monica pier. There are bikes, scooters, surf boards, and boogie boards all there to use. Just completely perfect

Great location and cute space!
I stayed here for 3 night with a cavapoo puppy and it was the perfect spot. The proximity to the beach was so nice - sunsets at the beach every day. Parking was not an issue for me as I was there during the weekdays. The property is very pet friendly and has an enclosed outdoor patio that is shared with the owner and other tenants. Would definitely book again!

Terrific and quiet place to stay
We (parents and a 10-year old kid) stayed for 8 days and had a terrific experience. We had been to Santa Monica before, but this was the first quiet vacation rental without much noise in the night. We will definitely come back.

Fantastic location
The site description makes the place feel a little smaller than it is. Actually its great with a decent double and a living room/bed room 2 where the 2 teenagers stayed but room for a breakfast table and another in the well-equipped kitchen. Characterful, felt safe and perfect for the beach and easy for parking. The owner and her helper are lovely too. Would thoroughly recommend and so much nicer than other somewhat faceless more ££ options.

Super close to beach, great host
We had a great time at Elizabeth's home. We really appreciated the proximity to the beach and the Santa Monica Pier. The apartment is well furnished and well stocked, and use of the surfboards was an extra nice plus. A few things to know about parking: As noted, there is street parking with a parking permit. When we arrived Friday early evening, we found a spot right away. But we went out Saturday evening, and when we came back around 9:45 p.m., there was nothing available, and traffic was horrendous. We circled a bunch and eventually found parking 45 minutes later on the main street in front of a meter, which meant getting up early to move the car, which we were able to do and found a spot in front of the house again. Same thing happened on Sunday evening. There is the beach lot parking permit, but you have to be in that lot before sunset, and are stuck in there until the next morning. (This is not a criticism, just an FYI if you're bringing a car.)

Really enjoyed my time at the beach house. Having the windows open and ocean breezes blowing was wonderful. I used the kitchen and it was well stocked. Appreciated the a/c unit in the bedroom. Renters should note there is no a/c throughout the rest of the apartment, if that's a concern for you. It wasn't for me. Walkable to the beach, great coffee shop and restaurant just around the corner, and more. Bonus for me was I could walk to my client's office too. Great stay - highly recommend.

Right by the beach!
5 minutes to the shoreline, I went everyday. A beautiful home, well equipped kitchen and laundry room, great shower, comfy beds, beach equipment and bikes to borrow. Minor detail but I wish it was clear what was expected of us at check out.

We stayed earlier this month and our family of 4 had a great time. We found the unit to be as expressed in the listing, and very much enjoyed our stay. The location was great, with the beach a half a block away, and near enough to enjoy all that, SM and LA have to offer. Like any other big city these days Santa Monica certainly has its share of homeless and/or panhandlers, but being from a big city ourselves we are used to that, and encountered no issues The property has an AC unit in the bedroom which made that room nice and cool The main room, where the trundle bed is located was pretty warm at times, but our kids managed just fine. Any questions I had for the property owner/manager were answered promptly. Parking was great the first couple days (4 night stay) as we got a spot directly in front of the property. Days 3 and 4 we came back kind of late in the day and had to park in a lot at the end of the block, again only a half a block walk. There was a parking pass supplied for that lot, and no one bothered our rental car. So overall parking was not a complaint. We would undoubtedly stay here in the future.

Great "Beachouse" stay
My wife and I had a great 4 day stay at the Beachouse. The location was half a block up from the sand and a 10 to 15 min walk from the Pier and downtown stores and restaurants. And, almost next door to Cora's Coffeehouse. A great breakfast/lunch choice. Mostly walked to everything and hardly used our car. The Beachouse was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The bikes available in the garage were older but well maintained and fun to cruise the 6+ mile beach trail from Venice Beach to the south and Will Rogers in the north. We would definately go back if we were back in Santa Monica.

Girls' Weekend
This space was perfect for me and my two friends! The location was ideal but several of our rideshares had a hard time finding it. I would suggest giving them the name of the restaurant around the corner (Capo?) and just meeting them on Ocean Ave. Also look into the free electric rideshare, Circuit. There is an app you can download and it will take you around Santa Monica. Apparently a lot of people don't know about it! Tipping is appreciated but optional. Check-in/check-out was easy and we appreciated being able to use the washer/dryer in the garage downstairs. I am already planning a return trip because we had so much fun!
