"The property has some maintenance issues that need sorting. Carpet to bathroom and bedroom is loose. Its a curved staircase and its very dangerous. I asked about fixing it which i was told would be done by handyman. All he did was tuck it in so within a day was loose again which caused an accident. Bathroom is damp and paint and plaster is peeling off. Few other bits as well need sorting. Its a nice central place with lovely views. "overall impression of property very good, lots of extras ie books, games, lovely decoration and cosy feel to living room area .could not get on to net flix but no big deal, heating a bit hit and miss could be chilly in winter , did provide throws, no parking area but managed to find somewhere on the road outside . We were prepared for the stairs up to the second floor so considered it as training! We walked to Redcar along the sea front one day which was 4.5miles and a lovely day to do it. Accommodation was fab and a lovely place to stay. Would highly recommend!"

"A very smart apartment in an historic mill. Beds were comfortable. The tv signal was poor but streaming apps were better. The kitchen was well equipped with high end appliances. Sofa was a little small but the rocking chair was a nice addition. The grassy area across the car park was great to exercise the dog. A short walk to the village alongside the pretty beck, had pubs with good food and coffee shops etc. Well positioned for York and the coast. We went on the historic railway to Whitby,...

"Within 10 mins walking for shop, train station and beach. Really quiet location. Lovely decor and homely. A few staples available to use, as walkers we would have appreciated some shampoo as we were not carrying any but only a small niggle. Would definitely recommend and hope to stay again."
