"You feel so welcome as soon as your are greeted by staff. The views are beautiful. The rooms are comfortable. The food was amazing but most of all we loved that we felt so welcomed. The staff seemed truly happy for us to be there. "

"Cheap but nice"

"The property is great in the centre of a small town. Number of eating and drinking places close by. HOWEVER there is no front desk and arrangements have to be made to check in. There's a buzzer at the door but nobody answers. The assumption is that everyone has a working cell phone to call the owners who live next door and get someone to come and check you in. We had to take our phone off "airplane mode" which cost us 8 Euros. Not good. We don't use Hostals as a rule and this won't change that...

"Posada El Majuelo met our needs perfectly. Baños de la Encina with its ancient castle is a lovely community and the mines of Linares (the purpose of our stay) were just a short drive away across a sea of olive trees. Thoroughly recommended."
