"The hotel is very tired and needs a complete refurbishment. When I booked seven months in advance I had requested a room on the 2nd floor, partly as there is no lift, however our room allocated was on the 3rd floor with no option to change. "Stayed here with my husband and two teens for a 2 night stay.. House was small but cosy and we were glad the heating was on when we arrived as weather was awful!. "Stephan and Gwen were delightful hosts and the house was large, comfortable, clean and a beautiful view. The hotel in town had really great food. Make sure you have reservations though. 2 Oct 2019We went specifically to see the geese at the Montrose basin and we weren't dissapointed with the spectacle they and other wildlfe around the area treated us to. Sharkys good for food and hospitality.
