The Hotel is wonderful and we would gladly return. The hotel staff were superb. The area outside the hotel had graffiti but that is common in Naples. We felt safe.

This is in the heart of Naples, so bear in mind, it’s a gritty city. Quiet alley like street. Lots of graffiti on the streets nearby. Very short walk to Spacca Napoli, one of the main streets to stroll through the gritty heart of Naples. Elegant dining room for breakfast though the breakfast buffet was relatively ordinary by Italian standards. Glad we stayed here, though.

The Decumani is right in the heart of the historic area of Naples and major sites are easily walked to. The breakfast is amazing and served in a beautiful room (where you can also enjoy a late night drink with the bartender). The staff was extremely helpful and responsive to questions and concerns. As another reviewer mentioned, don’t let the street view deter you from this hotel! It was a great place with a great family run restaurant right down the street.

Wonderful hotel in the historic centre of Naples. Great location for exploring the area. Rooms are relatively large and comfortable, breakfast room is grand and beautifully decorated, and the breakfast is excellent. Lots of dining options nearby. Staff and service excellent throughout.

Location! Location! Location! Everything about this hotel was awesome! Breakfast was hot and cold food, with as many cappuccinos as you want. Staff is very friendly and went out of their way to help us. Rooms are big and bed is comfortable. Restaurants, bars and shopping a short walk away. Will definitely stay here again

This hotel is absolutely wonderful! The dining room was something straight out of a palace!! And the included breakfast was ample and delicious! The immediate area surrounding the hotel looks a bit unkept but once inside the hotel it is immaculate!

The property was beautiful, but it smelled like mold in out room and bathroom. The person who worked at the front desk was very nice and helpful. He worked day shift from 10 am to 10 pm

Beautiful stay at the Decumani Hotel. The location is ideal and so close to all sites, restaurants and shopping on main streets in the historic district. It’s a safe location and walkable to the waterfront too. The staff were helpful and friendly. I would love to stay again.

The property is in the old town therefore the area outside is dirty and off putting. Once inside it’s quite lovely. Breakfast was superb, the staff wonderful. Would stay again.

My husband and I booked a five night stay at Hotel Decumani de Charme. Our stay was a wonderful experience, and we happily recommend this hotel to all. The property is located in the historical center, is exceptionally clean and quiet, and is close to the metro and grocery stores. The staff is exceptional in their service! We cannot say enough wonderful things about their staff. They are thoughtful, patient, and incredibly helpful. The area is safe, and we loved our room. The room is spacious with tall ceilings, and the wifi is excellent. Breakfast is incredible, and you will be amazed at the picturesque dining room. You will not regret your stay at Decumani Hotel de Charme! We thank them for their wonderful hospitality and our stay in Napoli.

The staff were wonderful - especially Irene at the Front Desk. She met and exceeded every request we made. In addition to which, the room was special, the bath has a jacuzzi which was special, the breakfast was special. The location was amazing. Naples is amazing. But especially the Front Desk staff were unbelievably kind. We could not have had a better experience.

Easy to find, friendly helpful staff. Room was quite small, but that is what we booked for a one night stay. Had everything we needed. Close walking distance to lots of restaurants, shopping and main central attractions.

Magnificent former palace
Very well run hotel, a former palace. Rooms magnificent, service excellent, breakfast great. And far from over priced. Okay, the immediate surroundings are pretty grotty- but one inside, it is blissful!

Overall, my stay was quite pleasant. Staff are helpful and friendly. My room was fine, with all of the things that one needs to be comfortable, save for, some air conditioning and noise relief. The breakfast is ultimo- wonderful service and a range of food for any palette. But, sleeping was a challenge with the street noise and hard surfaces outside; and, it was warm and the AC was not working. So, if you have jet lag and it is warm temps, this may be a cautionary tale.

We appreciated being moved quickly to a different room where the air conditioning worked. The establishment doesn’t offer an initial overview of facilities, local restaurants, check out time etc. I was surprised and disappointed given the ‘hype’ of the place. The blond female manager (I think) is a Godsend and has her work cut out for her.

First of all, the picture depicted on the site gives you a false impression. You think it's the lobby and is actually the dining area. It is located on a dirty side alley but is close to a lovely walking area and restaurants.

Nice city-center hotel
Conveniently located in the center of the city. Very clean. Rooms were small (to be expected in old hotel in city center) but very serviceable. We didn't get to try the breakfast because we had to leave early to catch a train. (20 min. cab ride to airport.)

Hotel was clean and staff somewhat accommodating except for the fact that AC was broke and front desk staff didn’t provide good communication. Food was very good and the dining room staff was incredibly kind and helpful, especially Giuseppe Mariano and Antonio. Would stay again.

Really lovely small, quiet hotel right in the centre of the historical district a stones throw from all the main sight seeing spots and attractions. Our room was clean and comfortable, with air con, and being the summer the bed had just a sheet for a cover. I was a little chilly at night and the staff got me an extra blanket without fuss. They quickly arranged taxis for us when we wanted, and arranged a very reasonable fixed price for the fare. When we wanted to go swimming they let us borrow towels as we hadn't taken any (there is no pool at the hotel, we went to a nearby beach). Breakfast was lovely, the usual continental spread but also bacon and scrambled eggs. The dining room is amazing. Such a pretty room. The roof terrace is also beautiful, but the bar wasn't open when we planned to use it, although I'm sure had we asked they would have arranged a drink for us. Instead we bought some locally. The area is bustling and lovely. Loads of lovely restaurants nearby. Don't be put off by the negative reviews of Naples. Yes there is graffiti everywhere, but I felt totally safe and I absolutely loved the city!! Would recommend a stay here!

Area is very unsafe and sketchy. We needed help asking about the train to Pompeii when we checked in and the man working the desk was very rude saying he had too much work to do to help, meanwhile there was no other guests there to be helped. We nearly missed our tour because we couldn’t find the correct train. Very frustrating.
