"My husband and I couldn't have picked a better spot to celebrate our 20th anniversary! Viento del Rio is a beautiful, well-equipped casita in a gorgeous, peaceful setting — and Tami and Jeff (and of course, Lola!) were exceptional hosts. We enjoyed hiking at Ghost Ranch and at Plaza Blanca, which is just down the road. The town of Abiquiu is full of wonderful little gems and everyone was so lovely. The snow covered hills gave the kids a full day of sledding fun, and my teenagers filled their extra time with basketball on the court. The history of that area could be seen not only in the de-commissioned church, but also the ghost towns and army fort in the area. "We could easily walk to museums, the Plaza and restaurants. The Sawmill Market is only about a 20 minute walk and it came in handy on a Monday night when most restaurants nearby were closed. The neighborhood was very quiet at night. Nicely appointed unit. Be advised that the shower is quite small, especially if you don't want to be directly below the water stream. But that is definitely the only negative. Easy parking. Appreciated the bottled water."
