Normally we stay closer to Cannel. It was different being on the other side of Jackson Square and a short walk to Cafe du Monde. This is an older property, but well maintained. We were there on a Sunday night, but it was still quieter than I had expected. The staff was pleasant and helpful. Nearby parking is also a major plus.

It was quiet. Rooms are very basic but comfortable. Smelled a bit musty but to be expected as the humidity is quite high. I’d definitely stay here again. Location is great for being close to everything. Felt very safe walking to and from the hotel. The hotel staff was very accommodating and helpful.

The bed was very comfy and the room suited our needs. The only thing I had a problem with was no elevator and the narrow stairs to the 2nd floor was not an easy climb for me or my husband with our suitcases. Request ground floor if this is a problem for you.

The hotel was clean and comfortable providing a king bed and nice hot shower . Great location as it was a short walk to Jackson square and bourbon st. Good value compared to nearby hotel. The only negative would be the poorly maintained properties and sidewalks surrounding it. Make sure you wear closed toed shoes and watch out for large holes in the sidewalks

This property was historically New Orleans. It had the old charm of New Orleans buildings but renovated and modern at the same time. We were a block or two from Jackson Square and parking was very convenient. We didn’t really need to drive our car anywhere unless we just felt inclined to do so. The king room was spacious, clean, and the bed was super comfortable. The air conditioning was perfect. We didn’t need to adjust it the whole time we were there. The staff was so friendly and their southern hospitality was delightful and familiar to me as a southerner. I would stay again when we visit New Orleans in the future. Be warned that parking is not free, but it certainly was convenient.

Very central and extremely convenient with everything in the French Quarter being in walking distance. Marisel, the staff in the front desk, was very sweet and friendly. The courtyard for the property was also very nice and a great place to wind down. Highly recommend!

I loved this quaint hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The bathroom is small but it has everything you need. We overlooked rhe beautiful courtyard. We could walk to almost anything we wanted to do. The staff were beyond helpful. If I were to go back to New Orleans I would stay here again.

The staff were fantastic. The property and location were great! My only complaint was the condition of the outdoor furniture and the pool. Part of why the large group of us stayed here was for potential use of the pool but it was constantly gross; even when I asked for it to be clean. I definitely would stay here again though. Can't beat the location!

Overall we knew where the hotel was and what it offered. For our first time in New Orleans. French Quarter, music, history etc. What that did not list was the noise. Our room was basically the thickness of a brick wall. So if you get offered 115 do NOT take it.

Walls are paper thin. Can hear EVERYTHING from the adjacent rooms. Some things you don’t want to hear. Even in New Orleans. Saving grace was near Bourbon street.

This is my second time staying at this hotel. I absolutely love the beds. Water takes a little while to heat up, but once it heats up, 10/10. The complementary water at the front desk truly comes in handy. My only complaints would be there’s not a fridge or an ice bucket in the room. And It can be kind of noisy if you have a room near the street. Otherwise I always enjoy my stay at this hotel. I’ll definitely be returning.

Property is great if not a little hard to locate. Overall cleaniness could use an improvement but its an old building so the damp smell is to be expected. Maisie/macey the receptionist was excellent, nothing was to much trouble and she recommended some great restaurants for us!

This is not a modern building, so you will get small bathrooms and no fedex or business center or gym space... but that's not why you choose this hotel, right? You would choose Hotel Chateau because it's got beautiful outdoor areas for you to sit with your bottle of wine and takeout food from nearby NOLA Poboys, enjoy the balmy temperature , and you appreciate hospitality and walking distance from the river, beignets, voodoo shops, dive bars, and amazing food. Who cares about the business center?

The hotel was historic and the neighborhood was just what you would expect in close proximity to Bourbon Street and the Market. Macy at the front desk was amazing and so helpful! Definitely went the extra mile for us! Have stayed on Bourbon Street in the past and the location of this hotel was much better. Easy walk to both Bourbon Street and the Market. Will definitely be back!

It was clean. The a/c worked really good. The room could’ve used an area rug or some carpet. The cold tile was less than desirable. We couldn’t find the wifi password and the tv didn’t work. It was nice for the purpose of just to sleep and shower.
