Having a restaurant and bar onsite was very convenient. There was a lingering pet odor in the room. Hard to say what can be done about that if pet accommodations are an option for

The bathroom was in poor condition. Dust in the bathroom. Poor response to room requests. The entire room had an unpleasant odor . The thermostat gave me an issue . Poor opening of the pool. Good customer service.

I absolutely loved the king size bed. It was so soft and comfortable. My room had a refrigerator and microwave, which made my long-term stay convenient.

My experience at the Holiday Inn located in downtown Brooklyn was pretty okay. I would’ve rated it higher than average because the only downside was the check in process at the hotel. Our room wasn’t ready yet and we had to wait at least an hour for the front desk lady who was very nice btw to make a substitute because she didn’t want to keep me waiting any longer. This was an inconvenience because we had to get ready for a concert later on. Also, the first guy who checked me in didn’t even know that I had already paid a week for the room in advance. He was about to charge my card again for a reservation until I showed him a receipt. Will I stay at this hotel again when visiting New York? Probably not and may take my chances at other hotels in the area. However, this is an exceptional location for concerts or games at the Barclays Center. It’s only less than a 10 minute walk to the venue. The rooms were cleaned and I didn’t get a chance to check out the amenities since we were only there for overnight.

The longe area on the first floor is beautiful and nicely done and clean. The hotel was very busy for a weekday and the two desk clerks were extremely slow. The elevator wait was horrible. The pool area was decent however the pool hours are not reasonable 7am-12am or 7:30pm-9:30pm. There were not enough towels at the pool area so i was told i could only receive a towel once i finished. I have never heard of anything like that at any place I have stayed at especially traveling with kids sometimes they want to wipe their face in between getting in/out of pool. The rooms are small as well as the bathroom and not soundproof. I could hear the people banging next door, babies crying, and anytime anyone closed their room door you can hear the slam. The hotel is not bad overall but needs some adjustments.

I stayed at this hotel after it was recommended by a friend when I was looking for a Brooklyn Hotel to go to an event. Can I say in the beginning I expected the worse but I was so impressed by everything I saw and experienced that I will stay at this hotel again given the opportunity.
