"Really lovely spacious room. I really struggle to sleep away from home but had no problem here. The beds were really comfortable and it was so quiet. The pub next door did fantastic food and all the prices were so reasonable. Thank you for a lovely stay."

"Lovely short stay, super clean and cosy and fab location, total privacy and ease of access. gorgeous coastal circular walk - and into Seaham if wanted. lovey to be amongst the horses also - wonderful break for all the fam if you like peaceful cosy stays"

Compact but Perfect
"We were visiting Ushaw House and this cottage is perfect location for there, Durham and surround area. Great shower, comfy bed. Easy parking outside your door. Lovely village and great pub. The Bay Horse. Thanks to John the owner for the recommendation"

We didn’t visit any of the surrounding areas apart from locomotion the train museum which was amazing.

Not much to do in Newton Aycliffe but there are plenty of nearby pubs for lunches and the delights of Durham county on your doorstep

A 'New Town' created some years ago in the 1960's....complementing 'Old Aycliffe'.... An easy place to navigate to access all kinds of general facilities. Clean and Tidy Place.
