Property did not provide the king size room we purchased. Then they had said we refused the king size and opted for the 2 doubles. They also refused to comp us the difference in pricing for the room substitution. They did the same thing to my son who was also booked tgere sane day.

The Oakes is grossly overpriced for what it is. It’s run down and not very clean. They also charge an extra $45 per night on parking. Won’t be staying here again.

Our room had dirty carpets. They definitely need to be steam cleaned. They were all stained. I felt gross walking on that carpet. The tv was the size of a computer monitor and ontop of a desk. Also the fireplace is very dated and didnt work. The room was so cold when we got there because the a/c was on so high.

Location is good. Hotel is very dated, wall paper ripping in various spots throughout the room. Lamps were broken. No shampoo/conditioner/or body wash in the bathroom had to call down to get some. You truly get what you pay for and if you want a cheap place to stay just be prepared. The hotel is run down

The Oakes is very well located. You can walk to the incline and go down to the table of the rock information center in 5 minutes without having to use a car or go down the hill on foot. The staff members are pleasant, specially, Anad at their front desk. She helped us with all are inquiries and questions. She made sure our room was clean ( you have to request your room to be clean everyday a day in advance). The only day that housekeeping couldn’t clean the room for whatever reason, Anad contacted me via mobile and advised me. I then, requested clean towels and they got deliver before we got to the room. The only issue I see was that one of my fiends is disabled and regardless the room was ok (519), the tub/shower was very hard to get in. Also furniture at the room was old and some could use some immediate replacement like the night light . At least they sent maintenance to put a light bulb at the bathroom light! That was great.

Room was very different compared to the rooms that I have stayed in before in the last 7 years. Stayed on 3rd floor to save a bit of money and felt like I was in another hotel. Been here 8 times and this was the worse room.

I would definitely stay there again. Good location, reasonably priced for a room comparable to neighboring higher priced hotels. Also they do not require advance payment and allow cancellation without huge fees that other hotels charge.
